    Wink Proposal to fix the multi PF problems

    Although it sure is nice to be able to loot Tara 4 times every 18 hours instead of just one time like similar outdoor mobs, most people will probably agree that the way the Tarasque raids are done now is not what FC intended.
    Mirror playfields should only open when a playfield is full, everything else leads to the problems we see now - some people considering logging alts to open PFs an exploit, other people consider blocking a PF as griefing ...

    I offer 2 proposals to change this:

    1. If you log off in the castle, when logging in you are not placed in the PF you previously were, but in the PF you would be if you had just entered through the door.
    This would not only prevent people from using lowbie alts to open mirror PFs, but also solve the issue of people logging into already full PFs, interrupting raids in progress.

    2. Keep the multi PF system as it is now, but have only one common spawn timer for all Tarasques. Tarasques in all PFs spawn virtually at the same time, and if one Tara is killed all others despawn and all spawn timers are reset to 18h.
    Then opening multiple PFs would be useless, and no matter what PF is currently open, it would be the one Tara spawns next in.


    If you reply to this post, please try be constructive. I know some of you want phat lewt more than anything else, but the top priority should be to make Camelot enjoyable for all participants.

    I agree 100%, 1 Tara every 18 hours instead of 4.

    To whoever says high lvl content and "pvp battles" in Camelot, I say BS. Loot is the #1 priority in camelot that overrules everything else (including fair-play, reducing lag in the name of pvp by avoiding warps, PF camping) --- so face the facts, its a loot camp. T should spawn once every 18 hours as intended. Whoever says otherwise with NW out is a greedy bastard.

    a real good idea untill the the 1 tara pr 18 hours for all playfields. why should the unlucky ones who enter pf 2 be at a disadvatige. and have to hurry more. and what if 2 play fields kill tara at same time. whoever is first to loot get. and the other dungeon dosen't get to loot there tara.

    if you can convince 60 ppl to be pf 1 so u get a second shoot at your loot im all for it.

    but no more logging alt in pf to open it later for more loot. would suit me fine.

    but as it is now. i go to every pf i can.

    why should the unlucky ones who enter pf 2 be at a disadvatige. and have to hurry more.
    If there already are more than 60 people waiting before Tarasque spawns, no one is at disadvantage, since the chicken spawns at the same time in all playfields. And if people come too late, it's their problem

    and what if 2 play fields kill tara at same time. whoever is first to loot get.
    I doubt that Tara will be killed at the same microsecond in 2 playfields
    With my 2nd proposal, if Tarasque is engaged in 2 playfields at the same time, the PF which manages to actually kill it first gets the loot. The other PF will see Tara despawn with 1% hp left if they have really bad luck, but that's life

    your logick is sound i just find it unneedly harsh.
    if you could stomp 600 ppl into camalot i wouldn't mind 10 loots on tara. the real problem is the logging alts to get acces to new pf. maybe im just a greedy looter. but if there comes more tara items around they would become cheaper so the lvl 100+ can actually afford them and not only the ones lucky enough to find a rare item

    The question is whether FC intended more than 1 tara to spawn in 18 hour period or not. From speaking with GMs my impression is that they weren't even aware of multiple tara spawns till recently. My guess is they will "fix" this IF they don't have to bend over backwards to modify the code -- which I'm guessing they do.

    Camelot is one big reason for inbalance between omnis/clanners on all servers. To fix this problem means less loot for all but also less omnis quitting or changing sides.

    Anyway, although multiple taras are not intended, I don't really expect things to change any time soon simply because of FC's awesome track record when it comes to fixing bugs. Till then, keep on looting.

    i agree 100% with this system .

    If not in the worst case, if funcom wants to keep the mirrors dongeons, why not set up a few same dongeons located has different place? what will allow Omnis/Clan of benefit from it and will keep the balance of side . And all side will be happy .

    So I go because a) Nts rock in indoor PvP (muh better than duals) and b) i'd like the GPH.

    Get rid of the 4 spawns which is FUN racing the clan to dif spawns would IMHO spoil it

    bah... I personally think it's cheap and lame to spawn multiple playfields, however funcom LEAVES US NO CHOICE! Everyone wants a peice of this pie, and 1 tara every 18 hours is not enough to go around.


    I think an ok solution would be to have tara spawn every 4 hours on the dot, if he was killed. So a 4 hour spawn is too long for a group to stay together to camp it, but you'd still get enough tara's in a day to let everyone have a crack at it.

    But until then I'm going to continue to go to raids and happily enter multiple playfields so as to kill more then one tara.

    Multiple dungeonspawns were obviously introduced after much complaining about heavily camped sites. I was one of those complaining half a year ago.

    Im very glad to hear that this has been implemented. It would be silly for it to be taken away again, since it was highly prioritized by the player base.

    I have never been to Tarasque with any of my chars, but if ppl are logging on their alts to fill up several dungeonspawns to be able to kill T several times in a row, that is the worst case of egoistic camping mentality Ive heard to this day. Shame on you who do this! You should be concidered exploiters and be banned.

    The code needs to be reprogrammed to deal with this - not by making T harder to get to, but by giving ppl only 1 shot at killing it in one set period of time. I.E. 4 days. If you as much as press Q or fire off a nuke while having T targetted should make you unable to do so again for the next spawn after it hits the floor (to clearify: Fight her, she dies (not necessairy due to you or your team), she respawns, you cant hit her. She dies from someone elses dmg. She respawns, you can hit her again). All members of the killing team should not even be allowed back into the dungeon b4 completing a full 4 days exile from ALL spawns of T dungeon. These changes should really apply to all the different spawning dungeons - in all places where there are bosses with attractive loot.

    As I have to add, my opinions are my own. They are aimed at justice and equal chances. As it is now in many aspect of this game, this is not the case. I hate camping, and I hate campers who uphold the camping system.

    Camelot and Tara aer all part of a dungeon. Whenever I finish a mission and log without running out, next day when I log back on I'm outside.

    Make the stupid dragon act like a missionobjective. You killed it, you can't sit and log and come back 18 hours later. You finished it, so you are warped outside next login. Should prevent quite a bit of camping inside the castle.

    If you relog into a mission dungeon before the mission times out, you log back into the mission.

    Camelot is a permanent playfield, so you always log back into it.

    If FC wanted to fix this, all they'd have to do is not spawn multiple PFs for Camelot. Obviously, they don't want to fix it.

    I agree, this Multiple playfields is a nice system. I don't mind having multiple Tara's. Just means that cool items like dragon body, HPO, Robust, etc....wont sell for trillions of credits like they used to ;p

    Makes it easier for people around 100-140 to get those items.
