    Team Disbanding during fights

    So this is the fix for the powerleveling exploit. I am already endeared to it. When my fully LEGAL team has an LD during an incredibly drawn out fight with a boss, we get no xp and no loot now.

    Would it not be feasible to implement a device that would activate this ONLY when a team with players who could could not legally share experience were teamed together, so that maybe those of us who do not exploit can play normally?

    Seriously, are you going to charge my credit card for 2 accounts next time someone's card comes up bad, too?

    icky. Programming should just remove that 1 person's damage count from the total damage. Not wipe the whole teams count.

    In those exploit teams, it was because those 5 lvl 12's didn't do any damage (they couldn't even if they tried), and the lvl 200 did all the damage. If you backed out the lvl 200's damage when he left the team, it would fix the problem.

    And in your case you would still get loot because you had 5 other people doing damage and no other teams to share with....

    I hope they fix that...

    Had this happen in a group last night. The LOWEST person in the team LDed and no one got exp for the boss. This is the equivalent of a /flip from FC to its customers.

    Same happened here ... no exp (arg) NO loot (hum ...) then what ?
    Bump on level check when someone ld b4 removing all exp.

    ps : 150+ team lfm, preferred someone with at least DSL line ...

    Wow. All that is mission now is a post from Cz saying "I'll take that to the designers".

    Cz, please also take back to them that LDing during long fights with Bosses and Super Bosses is REALLY common as it is now. So this "fix" doesn't cut the mustard. Thanks.

    Yep...seen this multiple times since the "fix" of the "powerleveling exploit".....

    So one person LDs right before your team is about to kill a team boss mob, and ALL damage is wiped? Wrong answer!

    Simple way to fix the exploit: disallow teaming if the ranges conflict. The fix in place now is going to dwindle your player base even further...

    Anyone should be allowed to team with anyone. Teams aren't just for xp.

    What they should do is fix the exploit and not impliment a quick fix around the problem. Funcom's long history of quick fixes has damaged the game more in my opinion than anything else they've done.

    4 person team fighting Iron Reet.
    Mob was at 10% when a teammate IN ANOTHER ZONE went linkdead.


    Mob died, no xp and corpse poofed.



    Nobody else had done any damage other than the 2 other people in my team.

    This also happened at Tarasque over the weekend. Talk about some upset players. FC, Custommer Support, Trust, Judgement...and Test Server

    Jeremiah, we requested that the GM spawn a new Tarasque for us to kill. He refused. Interestingly, a GM had done exactly that for a bugged Tarasque kill on an earlier occasion. All we're told is that on that occasion it was for bug testing purposes.

    The FunCom policy is that if their bug disrupts your game play, then you should suffer for it. They refuse to do anything to help. As far as I know, the reason for this is 1) to avoid players getting loot they might not deserve and 2) to discourage people from contacting support in order to reduce their manpower requirements.

    The good news is that there's a mention in the upcoming 14.7 patch notes that this problem is fixed. I hope they're right.

    FYI, the Eng Team Bacon Wrap() nano fixes this problem. I've had members ld while fighting a mission boss, we all go back down the elevator and I run the warp. It sends half the team back to the first room but we were able to reset aggro, join the LD person, and get loot/xp from the boss.

    I also fix the following problems:

    - Stuck in plane
    - Sneak warping/black doors
    - Stuck inside the geometry
    - Invisible teammates
    - Zoning problems

    Engineers aren't the best at tradeskills but we're certainly best at fixing bugs, lol. Considering the number of bugs in this game you'd think that we'd be the most desired prof.
