Thread: Diciple092 Colamonster Cronost Dagringo Vanhode Dralrias: still dont know what droped

I chose to support our guildleader in whatever decision he makes , be it right or wrong
Why would you support someone in wrong actions? Is it because of loyalty of friendship? Dont friends have the responsibility to speak thier minds and say when something isin't right?

If your guild decided that dupping was ok, would you support that decision? At what point do you stop the loyalty and think for yourself?

Yeah, what loster said. I've punched friends out that thought they were perfectly fine to drive home.... grow a backbone.

Funny thread! Those of ya saying it's just a game and that the leader is just some dude behind a keyboard, ponder this: those items that were ninja'd are just pixels, and um don't really exist! It is just a game.

Also be it omni/clan rk1 or 2, tara brings out the absolute worst in people. IMO it's one of the worst features of the game, as people will backstab to get the loot that dragon has.

    Tar never belonged to anyone

Saying there "kill stealing" just makes you a loot whore and really stupid

Once upon a time there were 3 guilds in the game who were strong enough to deal with Tarasque, but as time passed the people around them grew stronger, untill everyone was ready to compete for the kill.

Now, today, there is no way one guild can run a one-man show as to speak. That is why we have Tarabot, and thats the system we are using. If us clanners were to ignore this system and try to make it a free-for-all event with all clan guilds competing with each other, then there is no question that a united omni force would run us over.

Tarasque today is a omni vs. clan event.

I don't think Redemption understands this after reading Truuth's words of wisdom post. It's true what she says, that you only need 6 people to deal enough damage to gain the loot rights of Tarasque, but does that mean that YOU automatically deserve the loot that drops? Do you even think you would be able to reach Tarasques room without the support of others? There are hundreds of people which can be those very 6 people that deal the most damage, do we want all these people down there at the same time? No, we don't, and thats why we have Tarabot.

hmmm ok i wont pretend to know whats going on, i havent been active for 2 weeks or so... but... last i checked, i dont recall tarasque belonging to anyone? You cant ninja loot something you killed yourself. If the RED team outdamamged the kill teams then make a better effort at forming kill teams? I dont recall people yelling "kill stealer!" or "ninjas!!" when Kaehlar spawns ? If they dont chose to take part in tarabot and chose to form their own team to kill tara then thats their business. Your all welcome to form your own teams and take a crack at it.

    Problems

This type of activity is exact proof there is a problem with the tarabot system. If the majority of people supported it there wouldn't be things like this happening. I tried to give ideas in the tara admin forums to possibly make this system give more incentive to people who show up at raids day in and day out so that the people who do more work than someone else gets compensated for that work.

Nobody seemed to think that idea had any merit. Instead, what makes sense to everyone, seems to be this socialist/communist attitude that I'm supposed to go to every raid at the castle and I have no better chance than some player who shows up once in a while.

Here's a news flash.... communism and socialism doesn't work. It's been proven time and time again. Competition is what works. Capitalism. Think about it.

I haven't been to a raid in weeks because I see no point in even showing up. I want a gay hood in the worst way but I've accepted the fact that I will never own one. If I show up to 25 raids in a row before I see a gay hood drop I still have no chance at getting anything. My whole time going to raids I have won a dragon sleeve. Wooptie doo.

If Redemption has stirred things up enough to show some people that there IS DEFINITELY something wrong with this communist system then GOOD JOB REDEMPTION!

Hats off to you guys. The founding fathers of my country intended for the government to never have a complete stronghold on something that could not be overthrown if the people rebelled. I see nothing wrong with trying to overthrow a system that you just don't agree with.

Please let's fix this socialism. I'm begging.

Tess good ideas but oh so hard to implement.

Who wants to take responsibility for keeping track of who does what and how often (and how successful could your idea without everyone's complete confidence in the system)?

How can we keep a unified group together (read: more people than omnis) if everyone does not feel that they have a fair chance to win in a system they agree with?

Where do we draw the line as to professional priorities on loot?

Does an atrox doc somehow "deserve" the hood more?

Tarabot needs to evolve out of its current lowest common denominator socialistic determination. Shucking the whole system out of greed/impatience is not the way to most quickly spur development.

    Abid,

First of all, I do not wish this to be an argument because you are one of my finest friends in this game and I'm sure you already know I think you rock.

I just don't think this system is without flaw and I see ways to improve the distribution of loot. The plan I proposed is very easily implemented by Asmoran. He told me so himself in the admin forums. My plan distributes loot weighted on participation. Essentially, it MAKES SURE that participation will reward somebody. If everyone knows that showing up more will help them actually win I think they will want to show up. Don't you think?

The responsibility of who does what and so on is tabulated by the bot automatically and it's very simple to implement (once again, I asked Asmoran about this).

Draw the line as to professional priorities? If I show up to 20 raids without winning a raffle and you show up to 5 raids without winning, I have a better chance at winning with my system. Eventually, I will win a raffle by sheer statistics under this system. At that point my counter goes back to zero and yours is now, say, 15. Now YOU have a better chance at winning than I do.

If you want to use a socialistic system, then I think one should be implemented that ensures socialistic results. That is, equal distribution of returns in relation to one's frequency of participation. Isn't that more fair? I've been to 100+ raids and won ONCE. People have been to 50 raids and won 7 times. That's fair?

When my friends and I were saving up for yalmahas back in the day we did missions for primus coats, nano cloaks, and battle suits for cash. We distributed them equally between the 4-5 of us so we could make money to buy our plane. But the loot was distibuted EQUALLY amongst us.

Again let me reiterate my point my good friend. Equal distribution of loot by implementing a system which ENSURES this distribution statistically is what I think is fair. I have talked to others and they feel it would be fair also. So many people don't even care to go to Camelot any more because they feel they have no chance to win a raffle so what's the point. I feel the same way. I proposed a solution and asked the admins to speak to the people THEY REPRESENT and NOBODY came back with feedback from their peers.

So anyway after you kill stole tarasque and left the rest of us waiting i never found out what the loot was. Pls now, dont be unnecessarily selfish, you got the loot just let us all know what it was.

They took a KT in , fought T , Did The MOST dmg . No one stole anything . It was their right to loot . Get over it .
I think what most are angry over is that (not that i care really but) they was in tarabot and was supposed to work together with the rest of the community.. If they wanted to form a KT of their own to get tara down and save the loot from it they atleast should have prewarned the rest of the community. Or inform them.. Now they just took advantage of the others in box room while they thought everything was fine.

    Think about it.

By that i dont think this thread will not have any point anymore.. should be let dying.
