    A horrific error

I have few complaints with AO, but my biggest one is part of the structure of the game itself.

using eq and nano's your level, your power vs a mob your level will decrease, in every other mmorpg that exists as you level it becomes easier and easier to take on monsters higher and higer level than you, AO is the only game in which it is the opposite and things grow more and more powerful than you, mob hp, skill and difficulty should be linear not exponetial, and PC power should be exponetial not linear, otherwise getting higher and higher level is an excersize in futility.

Actually not all games follow the path you describe. EQ which is the most successful of all MMRPG's uses a similar formula to AO. It's even worse actually. By the time you reach 60 in EQ you are lucky to be able to solo creatures that give zero exp.

Games use this formula to encorage grouping at higher levels.

AO also has more leveling at a faster rate than most games. This means more upgrading of gear also. Usually a sudden inability to beat an equal level monster can be overcome by upgrading your gear... not always an easy thing to do.

The title caps on skills levels also makes the pre-50 and pre-100 levels very difficult as you can not upgrade weapons and nanos to keep up with the increasing difficulty of monsters.
