Not only that, the cloak is the only NODROP armor piece. The only 2 we saw in our org were gotten on fixers :S

I vote for let us pick the reward we want and make everything NODROP. ;p

I tossed all of it on the toon that will need it most soon, as I kind of expect it to be changed. Why the whole set isn't NODROP from the start is very surprising. Maybe it won't be, but then it completely invalidates a bunch of stuff that is.

Back on topic... Get rid of this damn gun as a reward chance if nothing else is changed, please! 4 of them and counting

Got mother nitrogena (overtuned and nice) on : sold (SMG / pvm / 370dpm) - no no and shade (piercing/ pvm / 430dpm).
Gun looks nice, but please ...

I don't think it quite compares with most other stuff, though. With a random bunch of NODROP mob loot, you can still decide which toon picks up which item, whereas this quest reward forces a random item on you, even if you don't need/want it on that particular toon.

... true words and this sounds like AO no more. We should be able to choose at least or get an item that can be useful for the toon.

You can play any toon to get the yesdrop parts. Seems to encourage people to play and team more. Since you're not just logging the toon you want the reward on, your logging and playing every toon you have (or, you at least could)

Having some stuff NODROP and yesdrop just hoses that clever idea.

Yeah, exactly. For example, I want the NODROP back armor on my shade, so I have to do the whole quest on my shade, even if my current team would benefit more from one of my other toons. Let's say we're a team of 5, lacking heals, and there are no healers lft, then our team is stuck, even if there are plenty of other profs lft. If I could just relog my healer, then we could grab one of those other profs and go.

Many people have several toons, so the chances of forming a proper team are much higher if they can choose which toon to play with.
