Farewell

It's time for me to move on. Since beta, then from january 2003 I was here most times. I have created bigest polish org, was leading raids, and I was always dedicated to clan. During my playtime I have made over 100 characters. Now I am leaving behind 36 twinks, some you might now. It's not hard to goodbye - I have greatest memoriers a game can give. I have spend gazillion hours on great talking with great people. Yes, Anarchy Online have best playerbase I meet since I am online, which is now 19 years.

If you ask me, why, why after 12 years I am leaving? Anarchy Online got me for conflict, fight with players. Notum Wars was doomed by FC long time ago, they never took effort to bring it back. After AI (I saw live Philip Ross talknig about being united to fight enemy incursion) i felt something is going wrong - Me, clanner, should stand side by side with ommers to fight Alien Invasion? I was here first to fight Omni! Yes, this used to be a war for our home, planet, freedom! Nothing from this stands now behind this title.

I had great fights, duels, ganks, but nothing gave me more fun and RPG feel then Notum Wars. Those are gone, so I am.

Leaving because dynamic of game is actually trying to adapt and change to something not as cliche as omni vs clan, and oh hi neuts? I would imagine something dramatic having happened by now, from being at war for hundreds of years. How is tir still standing, no one ever thought to just destroy the reclaims and blow tir/oa up? imo, some /rp event where omni rally, kill all clam, blow their cities up, and destroy reclaim. Force clam to realign or delete their characters for good, from bomb in tir. Omni vs aliens Hardcore mode. Omni only faction to actually try to save the entire planet anyway, clan too busy with gay bars and killing omni. Omni kill clam / neut and defend entire planet. Omni is love. Omni is life.

Nah, actually. Used free time offer only. Maybe I am geting old, or played AO too much, but I don't feel like playing. Stood in BS area for 1 hour and loged off. I don;t see fun anymore in this game.

heh that's pretty much what happened to me as well, I think it's part of getting older really. we have different priorities now, and can't put the intense focus into teh game like we used to, and that's part of what made it fun. don't stress over it just play when you actually WANT to, instead of when you feel liek you should be playing because it's how you used to roll.


I just tried to update AO so I could sign in an say hi, and it ended up crashing my installation, then it failed another 4 times, that's pretty much a sign that I don't even need to sign in again lol. laters don't stress it!
