AO Community: How would you regulate Multibox?

Go attack towers as clan. Within 20 mins you have a multiboxer on you. Notum Wars is dead, no action taken so people quitting. AO will die if MB stays legal.

Take your popcorn. Last time I was in NW was in 2012. Quite long time. Then I hade little break, and when I returned at january 2013, my first defense was vs Multiboxer. Also, they were active a lot in borealis. At first people loled that 5x170 agents can insta kill everything they aim at, but now... it's just sad.

I have no idea how to errase such 3rd party programs from game, but I guess it need to be gone.

It goes for pvm as well 6 average gimps will farm s10 or S7 faster then any best twink worth few billions of credits...

it's so sad someone think that so-called "best twink" should be immune to everything and unkillable and when died then it's multiboxers/cheaters/etc to blame.

Funny how when an FC employee says multiboxing is okay it's the end-all-be-all answer and no way they possibly could have misinterpreted the circumstances, but when Michi calls multiboxers cheaters, suddenly it's "vague"

By all means show me the post where michi used "multiboxers" and "cheaters" in the same context.

Michi threatened cheaters who potentially would bypass assist removal in pvp...

I am happy with this policy... To me multiboxing is a problem only because pvp was always so passive.. Assist, spam specials... Repeat. Side with better calling, assists, better specials, more special protection wins...

Mboxing is by margin most efficient way of winning... It gives you a barrage of well timed specials on target. Its a force multiplier just like machinegun in WW1.

Changes to gameplay are in order, where this mechanics change, to a point where machineguns are nolonger king... But mobility and tactics are... There multiboxing would nolonger be a benefit, but hinderence.

Assist is most obvious step, luckily Michi is putting obvious fixes in place.


Perk and special execution, might be the next area to look at... Here is one simple fix..

Each shot/perk/special that hits you raises your defenses by 100 and lowers your AAO by 100... After each second 100points of this debuff gets removed... Taking multiple incoming lines of fire would deminish incomming damage.. Whilst leaving you suppressed and unable to retaliate...

Meanwhile regular combat Would be uneffected mostly, due to roughly 1 attack per second going on.
