I can recall him saying he'd have loved to have revisited the AO universe at some stage.... found this.

My only question I need to answer is.. Are/were there any plans for another Anarchy Online? That was the definitive sci-fi mmo for YEARS and I miss the "old schoolness" about it.

You know, I'd love to see that happen, and I'd love to work on it. Maybe, if The Secret World does amazingly well, we'll be able to invest in an Anarchy Online 2.

Even if it had become a super sensation, and made millions in profit beyond their expectation... based on their financial and administrative choices for the past decade... they would have invested in another franchise they do not own (like Conan, Lego) in which they pay royalties, or spend it on a new game of their own with unrealistic expectations instead of strengthening their current MMO titles to revamp all 3 communities rather than take unnecessary risks practically on new games (or games which other companies failed to make successful).
