    -000 weapons

    I thought these got an upgrade recently, or at least a bit of a shuffle.

    I just checked some of the stats on them and some of them are really whacky.

    Min damage on a QL 300 pistol is 80? really?

    Compare to this:

    with a min damage of 65 which is QL 80, and has req's that are 23% as high.

    The max damage on the QL 300 variety is OK at 360 but it doesn't feel right.

    If you roll back the QL of pistol to 80 which is the same QL as the CDR and compare damage range:
    ABC-C01 is 23-107(51) (1/1)
    CDR is 65-143(162) (1.29/1.3)

    I agree that the CDR is a premium weapon, but the ABC-C01 doesn't even compare performance wise.

    Reqs on these two pistols at QL 80 are comparable:

    CDR has pistol 357, burst 269 fling 181
    ABC-C01 has pistol 405, fling 203

    Again, similar reqs, but damage is completely disjointed

    QL 200 ABC-C01: 54-245(121) (1/1)

    Note that SPMEP does not have fling shot, but it does offer a wide range of very valuable modifiers, raw damage wise, the SPMEP is just a world away from the QL 200 ABC-C01

    Requirements to equip
    SPMEP: 1000 pistol, TL6
    ABC-C01: 1003 pistol, 502 fling



    I was going to compare SOL's and reign/pain of patricia, kyr'ozch pistol and Peregrine and even maw of the abyss but I'm tired of looking at stuff.

    Basically, I think the damage range on this pistol are too low to compare with other pistols that have significantly lower reqs with (in some cases) more specials (burst), higher crit damage (all pistols I compared), and just generally a better damage range.

    A low min damage pistol is only really usable if the max damage is high enough to offset the predominantly low damage hits you'd get when confronted by random damage rolls which are always offset by AC's. But, making a weapon with low min damage and medium low max damage essentially relegates it obsolete.

    I'd say damage could be boosted on the ABC-C01 by 50% across the board to give it a chance to compare with other weapons.

    ABC-C01 specific QL's with 50% boost:

    QL 80: 35-160(76)

    QL100: 42-195(93)

    QL 200: 81-367(181)

    QL 300: 120-540(270) <-- notably, I'm not really sure who would be using this, like a froob is unlikely to get 1500 pistol skill (yes no?), and for Paid players, there are just simply better weapons available for the skills needed to equip.

    you are comparing SPECIAL WEAPONS (Exotic, NoDrop) to a buyable ones. Seriously?

    He is comparing looooooooooooow SPECIAL WEAPONS to hiiiiiiiiiigh buyable ones.

    I would love to see a lil improvement like adding burst to pistol, fling to SMG, sneak to 1hb/1he.

    You're experiencing first hand the longstanding lack of interest Funcom has for everything coming from RK, lootable on RK, Noobas. And it goes back a long way, from the time the SL - and even more AI - were implemented. Why would you want to change the actual situation now that more than 10 years have passed ? Especially when a majority of the community only has disdain for the froobs and the (very few) newcomers - which wasn't always the case before.

    Well, actually I'm kinda interested in it because some of the other -000 weapons actually look kinda interesting, and the pistol does too to some extent, it's a very generic weapon, with quite low requirements to get on, relatively speaking, but the damage range simply makes it obsolete.

    I'm still not convinced that there is any time at any level range on any profession of any account type (even froobs) where any of the -000 weapons and their suite of upgrades is worth the time to acquire over all of the other options out there.

    they went through all the trouble to revamp these weapons and they are still useless, I agree, up the min dmg and lower the reqs a little to make them viable.
    sell unupgraded ones and let people put on the specials they want (burst on pistols).
    not game changing, not gonna hurt any paid players

    I leveled keeper using those new weapons (melee energy) and I find them very usefull even in Inf Missions. Also, I use few of them on my PvP twinks, aswell as leveling 2 other toons.

    I can name a few (for when a player is too stubborn to IP Reset to another option).

    Froob Soldier - Assault Rifle around level 70 or so if they don't IP Ranged Energy or got super lucky to get a Inner Circle Flamer (why are these still NoDrop?)
    Froob Soldier - Pistol in cases where one lacks a High QL MTI Grey and the CDR loses its punch (Froobs don't swim in +damage)
    Anyone- pure Ranged Energy set up do to lack of weapons barring the Revolving Cold Laser
    Anyone - Melee Energy (like Ranged Energy above)

    Still these weapons could use some more adjustment as Max Damage does not have the same value as Min Damage so just adding to Max what was removed from Min wasn't an equal exchange. Max damage on these should probably go up 15-20%. For the 2h variants, the damage starts turning out okay at 1200+ skill, but 1h are still far behind. The one plus is that several of these weapons have good models and sound effects compared to the typical farmed weapons.

    The Nano-Charged Stun glove was recently updated and now provides froob MAs an option to triple wield without having to IP an additional non-MA weapon skill. Actually all combined MA weapons should be changed to be like this IMO. But I agree most 000 weapons were useless from inception.
