    Agreed.

    Imho SL-Levels shouldn't be able to attack RK-Levels at all. Even 200-205 is too much, since we're talking about 5 perks, up to 125 in random skills, and a whole series of items that have level req 201+ (sector weapons just recently got a lower lvl req e.g.).
    Don't set yourself on fire to keep others warm.

    I don't think 200 should be unattackable by anyone higher, nor that 201 should fight 220.

    For example, 210 should be the limit for 220s. Or even 215.

    215 fights 211 to 220

    I like the idea of 201-220's not being able to attack lvl 200's. Then much more people would roll lvl 200 twinks for notum wars, battle station, sector 7 and dark ruins.
    The idea of a bunch of lvl 200 toons fighting over towers without any 220's interfering almost makes me jizz my pants

    I would like to see 200s not being able to attack 170. With some work we could have tower fields that 171-200s would contest for, and that I think would make quite a few people happy. 200s have serious twinking potential, please michi

    I dont mind that 200s can attack 170s or 165s. They sure are a lot more powerful but it's not a major overkill. 214 attacking 170 or 207 rolling over 165 is a whole different story. There is something wrong in that. 1 shadowlevel = 5 - 10 regular levels.

    If 201+ could only fight 201+ then everyone would do towers only with level 200 toons. That would kill end TL5 completely.

    Some ajustments should be made to the level ranges, thats for sure. Also it's weird that ai30 and LE70 requires only level 200. That makes no sense. The final researches are very very powerful and they make the gap much higher on end TL5 and lvl200 than necessary.

    TL5 wars would be fought between lvl 150 and 158 twinks (and 170 agents ofc, even if they'd be open to attack by 200's)
    Tl6 wars would be fought between lvl 200 twinks

    The problem is, in part that for pvp ranges shadow levels are treated as levels. However each shadow level, counting perks, is equal to roughly 5 1-200 levels. This is the main problem. Effectively a 220 has the skills that a 300 would have is such could be built. So the effective range for the higher levels is 125+levels of effective delta, more if you count the research available to a 175 compared to a 200 plus. There has to be some mathematical formula that would copare the capabilities (potential not what people may actually have done) and establish some reasonable ranges. Otherwise toons below even 210 might as well be tagged with big red icons that scream easy kill.

    just have to wait for the game director to either do something or not, but i hope he does. this thread been visible for him so i am sure he had a view on the issue.

    Bump...I think you would see a legit amount of players return if sub 200 PvP ranges (+NW mechanics) were updated. Honestly (multiboxing aside) the most balanced areas of AO are in the mid TL ranges.

    Make it happen devs...build it and they will come!
