Thread: Phasefront Runspeed Bug

    Phasefront Runspeed Bug

I have noticed that if I zone with a phasefront, I lose the Runspeed buff it gives. And if I then proceed to terminate the Phasefront, I lose an additional 800 Run Speed. This does not clear until I've zoned. Sounds like something to investigate for 18.7.2

    Edit:
    Happens for me on both:
    Phasefront Besom - Sky Sweeper
    Phasefront Spectre - Black

I went back in time doing this. On a TL5 fixer:

    With GSF up: 1625 RS
GSF plus Phasefront Wraith: 2425 RS
After I zone, GSF and Wraith both active: 1625 RS
    Now cancel Wraith: 825 RS
    Now cancel GSF: 105 RS

Happens with most phasefront vehicle it seems, even the ground ones with just 150. If you zone with a phasefront ground vehicle you will still have the nano but you will now be running on the ground (the jet effect on phasefront vehicles when moving will happen on your head instead). Zone a second time and you will appear on your phasefront again but still lose the RS buff.

Happening to me as well, I'm flying the Phasefront Spectre. I just rezone to fix it, but obviously it's still a bit annoying.

I've done some more testing. Equippable item vehicles such as traditional Yalms don't get the RS loss bug on zoning. MP's Quantum Wings doesn't seem to either. However the cast-nano 'vehicles/polymorphs' such as Phasefront bikes and Advy Parrot all do lose their RS boost on zoning, and then that figure gets subtracted a second time upon cancelling the nano. Zoning while on foot resolves the issue until you cast the vehicle nano and zone once more.

I cant confirm myself since it hasnt happened to me, but aparentely Biancha got negative RS during a beast raid while she had Yalm equipped. So Yalm may be bugging as well.

Hm. I only tested it on RK admittedly. Was zoning in and out of BYs and shops in Borealis, and whompahs. I guess it's less consistent than I thought Unless the SL restrictions on flying has the same effect on flying tags as the compound flying vehicle + polymorph flags.

Edit: I should add that I tested this on 165 NT, 118 Doc, 60 MP and 220 Advy and they all had the same findings (well, accounting for the fact only MP can QW and only Advy can Parrot).

    Bumping this.

Also: If you are polymorphed and get hit with "Cunning of The Voracious Horror", the run speed debuff does not disappear even after the debuff runs out. This does not occur if you are not polymorphed. I suspect it can be related to the Phasefront runspeed bug in some way.

    Fix plx?

Are we the only people in the whole game getting affected by these stacking RS debuffs or something?

This has become beyond frustrating. I have to clear all vehicles and morphs before zoning, and then zone regularly if fighting anything with RS debuffs.

I get a weird behavior when using the hoverboards. Every other zoning, causes the overboard to disappear and a spinning thing to orbit my characters head.

got the problem now on bs...have only 800 RS without using any rs buff...maybe the bug came from an agent rs debuff perk. running away from an snared enemy? impossible -.-

Yes it most definately happens with me and my accounts as well. It doesn't seem to affect my shade quite as much, but I haven't had him on too much to really test.

Interestingly, I'm finding the Fixer NCU Booster perk is suffering from the same type of mechanics error we're getting with movement speed.

It's making doing anything as an Advy in Albatraum quite horrendous as the RS debuffs keep on stacking if you fight while in a morph.

We have patched out something today that should fix this issue, at least when using certain buffs and/or nano-based vehicles.

Was this picture taken after 18.7.2? Feel free to PM me if you have more information.

Yes after 18.7.2 and it would appear that in this case it has something to do with the new MP RS snare proc/nano "Induce Apathy". Apparently if your target get's proc'd with it and hits you back the RS debuff also affects you. Weird and any MP can replicate this by attacking a BY guard.

Ah ok, I think I see the cause of this. The overall patch schedule won't change, but I'll have to force through 18.7.3 early next week with the bulk of my intended changes off in 18.7.4.

    Sorry about all of this.

Until 18.7.3 is patched, it will be ill-advised to use the following nanos:
    Induced Apathy
    Sedative Injectors
    Droid Pressure Matrix
