Player-Made Videos - Contest Inside! 1 Billion Cr

Funcom is stepping up and sweetening the deal! They're adding FC points to use in the shop 1200/600/300 respectively. Adding this to the list of rewards. Also one modification to the rules, the video must be new. Nothing that's already been made. Edited the rules to reflect that.

So AO doesn’t, and has never really done marketing. 1 Billion Credits says we can do this as a community. I’m willing to fund 1 billion of my own credits to facilitate content being pushed to youtube. Rules are pretty simple, just 3:

1. Videos must be posted to youtube and linked in this thread. No other video locations or direct downloads will be accepted.

2. Videos can be funny, serious, RP oriented, Marketing, whatever. It can be themed (like, AO’s Not Dead, or Smart People Only) or just fun. The point isn’t a theme, just a great video about our game. I’ll be as objective as I can when making judgements.

3. All videos must be original content. Nothing that's already out there.

All videos will be based simply on my opinion and judged on an Awesome-Factor.

Rewards:

500m and 1200 Funcom Points to the winner
300m and 600 Funcom Points to the runner up
200m and 300 Funcom Points for 3rd place

You need to have your videos in by October 25th 2014. Winners will be announced November 1st, 2014

You might be thinking: Oh this is cool, but I can’t make videos. Yeah, I suffer the same fate. My suggestion is to either A: Create your own contests with your own credits, or donate credits to me and I’ll add it to the pile when I do another one of these (if this is successful, there will probably be more with or without people donating credits).

You might also be thinking: Who the hell are you? Well… I’m Ruken. Nothin’ special. I’ve been around off and on since launch. I don’t expect anyone to remember me, even after this is done. I expect nothing from FC and haven’t been promised anything. I just want to help. I think a lot of people want to help, but just don’t know where to channel the energy.

Heya. I have quite a few vids out there already, but considering making a new one for this compo. "3. All videos must be original content. Nothing that's already out there." means that you should make a new video, right ? That you shouldn't use your old stuff, or do you mean you shouldn't post videos other people made ?

Anyway, I'll try to think of something... Nice idea, and cool with funcom points as well.

Close to the deadline is just fine! Can't wait to see some more AO Content out there. Remember - this can be ANYTHING! Abiding it's AO Related and New. Maybe now's the time to start that new vlog on agents that max tradeskilling or a video on How to make an assault rifle enforcer. Melee soldier?
