IRRK Freelance: Omni-Pol shoots down own transport leaving many dead
    September 3rd, 29488

Omni-Pol shot down one of their own transports carrying members from Omni-Pol Internal Services, who were en-route to Omni-1 to give evidence to members of Omni-Security.

IRRK received notification from one Officer 'Zarte' Hemmeld that Omni-Pol Internal Services had an announcement to make after he and his colleagues had delivered evidence to other members of Omni-Security. OP-IS was previously responsible for monitoring procedures and investigating internal affairs within Omni-Pol. However, following CEO Eva Pourais' restructure of Omni-Tek Rubi-Ka, the sub-department is now obsolete and has been transferred into Omni-Tek Internal Operations.

Officer Hemmeld and his colleagues were the last remaining in OP-IS, scheduled to be transferred on completion of their current investigation, which has been rumored to concern Omni-Pol's General of Operations; Cora Geers.

The transport was entering final approach to Omni-1 airspace when it was shot down by Omni-Pol forces under General Geers' command. Witnesses report that a couple of officers survived the crash and sent a distress signal. However, emergency responders were turned away by Omni-Pol, but not before they saw officers firing upon the survivors.

Omni-Pol's General Geers made this response following the incident:

"I can confirm that Omni-Pol activated defensive measures and denied an invading shuttle access to Omni-1 airspace. Omni-Pol had confirmed reports that the shuttle had been overtaken by terrorists and was holding officers from Internal Services hostage.

A decision was made to deny emergency response access to the crash to prevent more hostages being taken. Our officers then secured the crash-site and terminated the surviving clan members.

I must unfortunately report that what has since been identified as a clan virus prevented our officers from entering the reclaim system, sadly causing permanent death and destroying their evidence."

A most unfortunate tragedy. I do sincerely hope that those clan members responsible for the hijacking payed for what they have done. Another example of the clan brutality that must soon be extinguished from our world.

    Brutality, indeed.

The Homestead Accord leadership sends condolences to all those who knew the unfortunate victims, and hopes that those responsible for this unthinkable tragedy will be brought to justice.

Should the victims' families require lodging on Rubi-Ka, The Homestead Accord would be happy to secure temporary housing in Borealis for them.

How very typical. "Of Clan make"....

How do you know this was of clan make? Because it destroys all of the evidence?
