The only thing I see happening from this is fewer people doing 12man for teh buff, making it harder/more expensive for toons that need loot. But only slightly.

Thats not pay to win, thats pay for convenience. Big diff, 12m buff is easily obtained.
pay for social or convenience items (vehicles, insta grid things, etc) is really far from the "convenience" of getting endgame buffs only obained with a team !
And if that buff is so easily obtained, why to pay for it ?
BoC and endgame symbiants are also easy obtained... should they also be in that store ?

Greedy or trying to stay in business? They've said before that the item store is a necessary evil. The rules for the item store have changed I think; before it used to be convenience items only, now it is: will this item give an advantage over those who don't buy it? If it can be obtained through normal gameplay, it won't, except for less time. If they start putting items in the itemstore you can't get anywhere else, there will be problems. The only thing that makes things like breed changes fair is that they can be traded for creds.

AO is a fantastic mmorpg. bugged to the bones since day 1, but fantastic.
Funcom is a weird dev/publisher.
other FC games with "better" technologies and hight potential went free to play after a really short time.
AO is still here after 13 years, why the hell are they giving that game so few attention and spending time and money for chimeras ?
Give the game the attention it deserves and hire more people !

They... the same company that ignores a very original game that, despite it's many glitches, still exists after almost 14 years with barely any maintenance and once every 5 year updates of rushed lackluster design.
It's a necessary evil alright, to keep AO a derelict cash cow that funds other funcom projects.
Haha, so endgame buffs that you used to have to, you know, play the damn game in order to acquire can now be directly bought off the shop. Killing demand for the instances. Which means that if you want the buff you'll HAVE to go via the cash shop.
In an ancient, decrepit game with the highest sub fees of all, especially if you are unfortunate enough to be living in or near Europe.
I am honestly sitting here in my office laughing at this. The intern is eyeing me su****iously and everyone else is in a meeting. This is like a clown car in a road accident. Tragic yet hilarious in a 'we're all going to hell' kind of way.

Guys it's an item for test server. It's being used there. It's for people to test using 12m buff without having to build a team.
