    The Doctor is in.

    Somewhere in the DoI HQ

Dr. Vikriana Heinrich, or Dr. Death as the DoI call her, looked up at the monitors. A small smile crossed her rather cold features. This virus had so many terrified. If only they could see it though her eyes.

It was truly a thing of beauty. It had the ability to change through mutation just to survive and spread. Such a simple instinct and with none of those silly emotions. Yes, this was a pure thing. Vik actually admired this virus and its simple function.

Turning in her chair she wheeled over to the other experiments running with complete efficiency. Everything had its place in Vik's lab. Rumours spread that it was a dungeon but in reality it was brightly lit and sterile.

Back to the monitor she did a calculation on the degradation of a cell once the virus becomes active in the nucleus. It was then she decided that she would need tissue from many other sources. Of course she would be more then happy to get some from the Clans, and the people of Newland - especially from the children that had no families. But she would need to get samples from others she had complete knowledge of. From the DoI, Omni-Pol, and OTAF as they were in excellent health. These would be her the controls.

Touching her comm she contacted the new face at the front desk. Ana "Ameena" Pearson. "I want you to contact Officers "Mrmol" Bradford, Major "Zarro" Kellon to come in for a follow up appointment."

In the laboratory of the DoI.

Dr. Vikriana Heinrich found herself in a rather good mood. The attack on Tir by Omni-Pol had opened a treasure trove of tissue samples. Samples that she would not be able to get from clanners.

Sitting down at one of her tables she starts to lay out the many vials that held blood and tissue from dying Sentinels. It was so much easier to remove bone marrow from the hip of a Sentinel that was shot than to restrain a patient. Vikriana noted that the Sentinels did have a rather high pain tolerance. Though, in the end there was always one or two who cried out.

Now, with numerous samples to add to her control group, she filed a report to Director McVert on how to treat the infected. With a cold smile creeping across her face, it was time to work on an actual vaccine.

Ahh, but this virus was a wonderful thing. So pure and ruthlessly brilliant.

    Yes, Vikriana admired it greatly.

In the laboratory of the DoI.

Machines all around the laboratory hummed and spun as she prepared many more tests for antibodies. After last night she returned to the place she knew so well and worked through the night.

As she looked at the three syringes that were still filled with the dead virus she ran calculations in her head before she spoke to NETWORK.

"NETWORK, record. This will be the fourth day of injection into the subject VH-437, with dead B-Virus."

She picked up the next syringe and held it in her hands, having moved it from side to side to remove any bubbles.

"Subject has shown no flu like symptoms or any antibodies in lymphatic system. Subject has a small irritation on the skin on injection sight."

She reached out for a sterilization pad as she wiped the patch of skin on her thigh.

    "Administering injection now."

Dr. Vikriana Heinrich stuck the syringe into the skin, the needle pushed deep into the muscle tissue. Having pressed the plunger, she let the fluid rush into the subject's system before she pulled the needle out.

"Injection complete. Will wait seven hours then draw blood for tests. End of recording."

The doctor sat back in her chair as she took comfort in her lab. She looked down and noticed a small drop of blood well up from the injection in her thigh.

"A good doctor knows that there are risks... and some will just tell others that they need to work harder."

5 hours after NETWORK's purge of the DoI HQ.

Dr. Vikriana Heinrich still had a headache from the forced reclaim. She lay on the medical bed as her eyes adjusted to the light.

Doctors and nurses helped all the DoI employees caught in the purge, aiming to speed up the recovery from the reclaim sickness.

All Vik knew was that she had to get back into her lab and start new tests, as well as continue the old one with the new blood sample. If only she could get up and work on the reclaim sickness herself.

These idiots were about as organised as rollerrats looking for cheese...

NETWORK was going to be a problem. It purged the Department of Investigations HQ because of her unusual communication.

    "What was that voice...."
