    Deep under Omni-HQ...

Director Channing McVert sat at his desk, looking at the 6 computer monitors on display. He slowly sipped his tea as he looked from one screen to another, occasionally inputting data from time to time on his keyboard. He was in an exceptional mood today. This new virus was utterly fascinating and he wanted to know everything he could about it. "Those idiots in Omni-Med are just chasing their tails." He huffed looking at his monitor that fed him information from there. Oh the possibilities this virus brought if he could just crack its bio coding and find a vaccine for it. Once that was done, he could then safely move on to testing it, on some of his live subjects...

This virus was proving to be stubborn. He smiled slightly to himself. He liked a good puzzle, always had. "Seems the Ex-CEO knows what shes doing, or kidnapped some one who does." He said absently watching his analyzer spin various vials around. He glanced at the report he received recently from Doctor Heinrich and smiled. He took an instinctual liking to her for some reason. What was it they called her? Oh yes, Dr.Death. Her theories so far on it intrigued him, which is why he allowed a small sample of it to be handed over for testing outside of the lab. If the worst case scenario happened, all the more test samples for him. He glanced over as the analyzer stopped spinning. "Bah! Inconclusive again!" He yelled, making more than one of the lab workers glance briefly in his direction. "Very well, on to the next then. Start test sequence alpha one five seven eight." He said to the worker manning the terminal at the analyzer. "Yes sir! Test alpha one five seven eight, mark one, initiated." He smiled again, oh how he loved puzzles.

He frowned deeply. What was he missing? He had figured out much about it, knew it practically inside and out. So why couldn't he defeat it?

He looked down at his cooling cup of hot tea. "What am I missing... i'm over looking something." He said picking up the cup and sipping at it. He stood up and walked over to the wall of see through glass. Inside he had two mutants, separated by another glass wall. The mutants looked back at him, but not with a look of understanding. "Begin test 1654-XR2 on subject 301." He said indicating the one on his left.

Air vents opened on the ceiling and a hissing sound was heard. McVert watched with a keen eye, data pad in hand recording every moment. About roughly 4 minutes passed and the mutant lurched, then fell to its knees. He watched with fascination as patches of mechanics appeared on its body, pushing through the flesh. Once the change started it took only a few moments to complete. He smiled broadly as a fully functional Cyborg stood back up and looked at him with hate in its eyes. "Purge cell." He ordered and smiled even more as the container was flooded with fire.
