Name Cleanup

First off I would like to say that after searching for an existing relevant thread ,and finding none, I am starting one here.
I'll be brief:
At the server merge I lost a few names do to duplication. There has been an ample amount of time since the server merge for anyone to have logged in "active " players and still the names I lost are not available , though no other player "exists" in game with that name.
Is there a proposed name cleanup , as was in the past, to remedy this and if not could the boundaries for one be implemented?

That would seem the obvious solution. I waited 6 months from the server merge so that if there was an ACTIVE player identically named prior to mine, they would indeed have the rights to said name. I have petitioned it.
