I'm just curious who the original person that had the typo for the word tweak and mistyped it as twink. I know there's really no way to ever know this I just find it really funny how people continue to use the typo'd version of the word tweak over and over and over.......

twink does mean something, im not toally sure tho. i think its someone who spend lots and lots and lots of time on something for their own benefit. which would be a lowbie char with decent items etc etc. but when someone re-kits their high lvl char it would be tweaking not twinking.

No actually what you described is to TWEAK. Twink is not a word and has no meaning.

tweak=twink and also own = pwn. I don't think it makes someone an idiot by default for saying these things as the association has been assigned and accepted by them.

Twink is short for twinkey a yellow sponge cake with cream filling.
In most cases it refers to a higher players alt, because they start out with all the good gear (the cream filling). First time I started hearing it was in merridan59 and then UO/EQ kicked it into high gear.
It is ment usualy as derrogity(sp) by the lower people because the char did not have to work to get it. Thats another discussion completely though.

well...tweak is a verb. twink is a verb or a noun.
you can tweak and tweak until you become a twink.
or you can just twink out.
i think we should make a new word to describe these players...something with a lot of letters...
