As far as I can see there are cases when mongo doesn't put you on the hate list. However once you're on the hate list in the first place it adds aggro. For instance I can mongo multiple times and see the "blue light" hit the mob, but if it isn't aggroed in the first place it'll just stand there.

I'm pretty sure this is why taunts did 1 damage in the first place. Something the current devs didn't know, or just chose to ignore when they "fixed" taunts after the patch that changed add dmg.

Mongo slam has a AOE of 1M which is 3 feet. If you cast it, can another mob block the effect on the mob directly behind it? I was in The Den a few days ago and had the same issue. I moved around alot and recast which seemed to help. The person I was escorting had a habit of panicking and running instead of just standing still directly behind me, and I mean directly behind me. He went to reclaim 4 times. Get your pals to stand closer to you. As well don't forget your taunt tool and single taunts, they are available for a reason.

    Cheers

ahhhhh , thanks for pointing that out Phargus , still one of my questions is whether or not mobs can block the aoe taunt if they in front of other mobs?

In my experience, they don't block the taunt in that way.
