Yes, officially, neutrals are seen by ICC as “Omni-Tek employees who call themselves neutral” (sorry, can't remember which document the quote is from). So the conclusion is...? What is the point, Trousers? At some point in the timeline the clans were considered Omni-Tek employees too. So what?


Of all the people who play AO role players are the group that I'd least expect to be unable to differentiate between IC neutrals (the downtrodden, least powerful faction on Rubi-Ka) and OOC neutral players (human beings playing the game who chose to play a neutral character or characters.)


So, why in the thread about role playing professionals it is so overwhelmingly suggested that neutrals should not have one? It's OOC for crying out loud!

It's a fact, that's "so what."

You even answered your own question by bringing up the clans. "were". Clans "were", Neutrals "are".

It's a little known difference, and I thought it was worth bringing up.

And as for Neutrals being represented in the program - It's an OOC program. Neutrals should and likely will be represented. Hell, I said they should when I posted the original idea about it 2 years ago.

So, relax.

Neuts are employees on the papers sitting in the ICC, but in the terrain have no record in OT. So, yeah, neutrals are OT employees without any accounts in OT's offices. They consider themselves separatists by fact.

The official stance from the ICC is only a way to protect neutrals from OT and that solves it for the higher political instance the we never see.

In my point of view, a good neutral is a backstabber, a scammer, a mercenary, an hacker and a liar with little ethics who will claim to be whatever he need to be to save his skin and that's why I love that so much. (but that is my point of view of course...)
