So I just wanted to let everyone on the forums know they slipped in another ninja nerf that I have not yet seen mentioned on the forums but Arachnis doesn't have 100% chance of dropping +10 pure novictum rings anymore.

I think this is cruel and unusual because most (if not all) people end up farming this mob anyway for many hours just to get their professions specific rings. So now you mean to tell me that I have to farm for probably twice/three times as long as I would originally because he isn't guaranteed to drop a ring every kill?

I can understand nerfing exploits in pande but seriously this mob was already tedious enough without funcom making it even worse of an experience to get into pande.

What I would like to see is that if funcom is going to keep the rings at w/e the droprate is for them now make them yes drop and remove the profession requirements for each one.

More like 70%, i've killed him plenty of times and i do occasionally (like maybe 70%) have to kill twice or on rare occasions 3 times to get one.

I haven't camped the +10 ring since the merge or recent patches, but it did not always drop a ring before. Maybe 80% drop rate for some kind of ring, I did not keep track.

Rather than making this ring yes-drop, I would suggest that it is made so that you can "click" it to change the profession. That way any ring will work for you.

Make it so no one will ever do a single quest for any of the rings again.....

Aoines suggestion sounds much better.

Not that I actually think theres an issue here to begin with. Droprate and difficulty in obtaining seems fine to me.

Yeah, never ever 100%, i've personally gone trough 5 or 6 to get 1 ring one time so it's like most other things in this game, based a little on luck

This ring should remain nodrop, but FC should make it "clickable" to allow change of profession.

I've only ever noticed about ~80% drop rate on rings from Arachnis.
Only thing I dislike since server merge is that the respawn timer is no longer the same as RK2 had it

I am unable to see when exactly this mob was last updated, but Wakizaka's drop-rate estimate is accurate. I can say from personal experience that I was never lucky enough to experience a 100% drop rate on the rings, which has made the process of having the correct one drop all the more frustrating.

In the spirit of ninja changes, this may be adjusted in an upcoming patch (not the impending one, but the one thereafter).

yep always been about 8/10. I kinda like the way the lottery loot system works too. I could do without having to log out to reset the timer properly tho :P otherwise, it's only a minor inconvenience relative to other "must have" items.
