theres couple major issues with s42. First u have to be 2-3 hours time for all waiting, messing and raiding and thats only 1 raid, in bad case u need plenty of raids. Secon issue is, those raids are raidable only at weekends for earlier reason (yeah some of us have work and life)
Third bad issue in omni side is Hellcom, its mainly HC's raid and as long hc count points from pvp and pvm, im (and many other) not gonna join in.
So yes, i could like if remove nodrop tag from acdc.

I ran across a QL200 flamethrower in a RK mission the other day that was nodrop, and for the life of me I cannot imagine why that item would be nodrop.

I do not have the name of the weapon. It wasn't interesting enough to be worth remembering at the time, though if I see it again I will write the name down and mention it here.

That would have been an Inner Circler flamer. I already asked for that one earlier hehe

I would suggest removing NODROP tags from totw items. Froobs/Newbies would farm them and sell it to rich players that dont wanna waste time farming them. It should give them nice cred boost for those expensive implants. (i would be first to buy memories and cloak :P)

Removing NODROP tag from level capped instance items sounds like a good idea, never liked that you could out level an instance that still had items you wanted.

But allot of the other requests I'm seeing here are a bit absurd, its like people compiled a list of every non endgame item in the game and want the NODROP tag removed. The point of the tag on many of those items is so people get their own butt out there and try to farm them, instead of just buying them from someone else. The last thing we want is to turn D2 into D3.

Make all pioneer backpacks nodrop; HOWEVER, give any player account that has played for 5 years a free one, account wide.

I can't understand why they gave beta junkies a trinket, but not the players that have been loyal to this game for 5+ years. (the veteran pts thing is a joke compared to some of the other offerings fc has come up with - ie parasitic helm, pioneers, etc.) This is really the only sacred holy virgin left in ao that they haven't modernified.

People that have played since 01 and/or pure credit farmers shouldn't be the only ones with access to this item.

People paying/playing the game over the past 5 years have done more for the game's 'Still Alive' than anyone in beta, by a long-shot.
95%+ of those players left in 01-02.

People w/ start dates of 2005ish are considered veterans now. 01'ers are dinosaurs. ( I am one of those ppl that played the first few weeks)

AKA you got lucky and were able to pay for your account. Since you were there, I'm sure I don't need to tell you how much of a disaster everything relating to AO was at the time. That's why those people got Pioneer Backpacks. It was a reward for playing an unfinished game with an unfinished launcher after paying using an unfinished billing system. Nothing since then has even come close.

honestly the vp sold in the store and the triviality thats doing vp dailies mean i for one dont want them to waste 5 seconds changing the tag that badly, i guess i agree itd make sense, though i still dont know why upgraded ofab is nodrop, the base armors tradeable so's the types so people could sell sets, though the comparative rarity of types means they dont, otoh i suppose it takes some armor and types out of circulation just seems a bit silly to me

If you want TS requirements to wear it then sure. If you want it to stay as is with just a lvl req to wear then no.
