    XP from TestLive

    I tested the XP gains on testlive at various levels and I am happy to say that hecklers are no longer the best way of levelling In fact, SL itself has been trumped by RK's classic dungeons.


    From 60 soldier kill:

    ~2% side XP gain

    Level 56 Exarch, Live server = 4565
    Level 56 Exarch, Test server = 9258

    Level 80 Nasc Heckler = 10398

    From 75 MP kill:

    ~10% side xp gain

    Level 80 Nasc Heckler = 8715

    Foremans
    Level 60 Heavy cargo haul bot, Test server = 7139
    Level 70 Alpha bio construct, Test server = 11490
    Level 80 Security Guard, Test server = 17082
    Level 80 Security Officer, Test server = 11238
    Level 80 Bodyguard, Test server = 22926
    Level 100 T.I.M, Test server = 30615

    Level 70 Dark Cenobite, Test server = 11490

    While I did not test them myself, apparently the XP in subway pretty much caps for a leveling player, as does xp from cultists as long as they are higher level than you. Pandemonium was giving 1.2 million xp according to another player.

    From what I see, subway to 25 -> totw 35 -> foremans 80 -> smuggler's den 125 to 140ish -> IS for 125+ will be a good way for everyone to level. As a side note, you can apparently warp from borealis directly to smugglers den now so be sure to take advantage of it.

    This will make it so much nicer to level froob alts.

    Considering those mobs (at least the low-mid level RK static ones) you tested with are harder to kill than regular ones of similar level, I'd say the XP reward they give now looks a lot more suitable.

    So this looks like a nice change indeed.

    This is definitely a very nice change too and will make leveling fun again. At least until we find it feels like grinding again

    Looking forward to rolling a new toon once the patch hits live so I can revisit the old content.
    Doing Cripplers -> Hecklers -> Inf Mishes only to level is tiresome as all hell.

    Is that a different door than the one leading to the hub inside the Mantis area ?

    I believe that's the one - It's a longer run than the old, strange, Borealis entrance into Smugglers, as it drops you off in the Mantis area instead of near the Smugglers' hangar. That said, it's not as bad as some of the alternatives to get into that dungeon.

    Other dungeons/encounters affected are Steps of Madness, Albtraum, and Pandemonium (Though the attack power of the Pande grunt mobs have been scaled a little *too* high, and will be reverted next Testlive patch).

    Sorry about this, but now I'm confused.

    Right now on live, we have the door in Borealis by the JOBE whom-pah which drops you in the Mantis area with three warps to different parts of the dungeon next to the player spawn point.

    Do we now get another (additional) door (landmark/NPC we talk to/button/whatever) in Borealis that drops us in a different place in Smuggler's Den, like directly into the hangar or the "office" complex ?
    Otherwise, if we do not get a new door, is the one we have being changed ?
    No further significant work is expected to be done on this project going forward.
