shop claim command after merge? -want official answer

I wish I had seen this thread earlier.. I resubbed my two pay accounts for a month to clear out the shops to raise some money for my free acc. I was really annoyed when all chars returned 0 credits and 0 items at the /shop claim.

It seems to me that this thread/question deserves an answer from Funcom. Our guild has many "old" players that had items in the old GMS market. There should be something to replace the shop/ claim command for returning players.

I realize that with the change in servers and character ID it may be difficult, perhaps even requiring a GM to do each player manually, but there should be a report or database put together so that a GM would have something to refer to.

One of my toons on newbie island pre-merge had a jetpack and other items pending in the mail system and a GM was able to find and confirm the items and spawn them in my inventory even though they were no longer listed in the mail system and my toon had a new character ID, etc.

Perhaps something similar is possible for the old GMS. Maybe a database was built for the shop/ claim command to reference that could be modified to work post-merge?

Otherwise, for those players impacted the only options I can think of is a bug report and/or petition.

All it would have took, would have been an email a week before the merge, saying "We are merging RK1 and RK2 into RK. Old GMS shops have been gone, and you have one week to reclaim your shop items and credits via "/shop claim" before the merging of servers. If you do not, your items will be lost and forfeited.

Did anyone get an email about the merge happening?

I know I did NOT!

If it's a question of mapping, I can provide my old character numbers, I have them all recorded...

Well, thanks, but I'm not holding my breath.

In the twelve years I've been playing AO, off and on, I have gotten an actual helpful response to a petition precisely once. Granted, on that one occasion, the GM came through for me like a champ, but still. There is little cause for optimism.

I think this is one of those cases where we are going to have to just cowboy up and write that stuff off.

But it would be nice if FC would come straight out and tell us, "Listen guys, we screwed the pooch on this. It sucks, it's not fair, and we're really sorry, but you're just sh*t out of luck. Our sincere apologies."

Yes, They didn't help us

Problem is funcom didn't even send a mail to players warning them before they delete players credits and items
