Servers down again?

banning peeps from forum won't change anything, we're paying customers and we only got that forum to talk about our frustration as we CAN'T play...
some players can only play on week ends... and week ends like this one weren't really good ones...

except some messages from ARKs/moderators, we only got a short apology message from vhab, and have no real idea of what's going on, or when we can expect game back.

now, good luck on fixing problems, but stop shooting on your customers !

I have said, twice, and clearly: no more spam, and no out of forum links. I'm not sure why people think I don't mean what I say.

This thread has persisted FAR past the point we would normally just close it for relentless spam and rule violations, per Vhab's instructions. I doubt his leniency is going to last much longer.

Stop annoying the ARK's who can't do anything about the problems there are with the server. They can't help it, so don't blame it on them by annoying them!

Agreed. Im not trying to annoy ARk. But i do like to have a thread i can just chat and BS in. And this is the active one. So this is where i post. I have not complained once. Read all my posts. I am understanding and patient about this delay

this is seriously taking the piss now, been nearly 4h already :/ any update on whats actually going on or why this stuff is happening the past days? since yesterday we had a downtime to fix this

Dude, she asked people to not post nonforums links that has nothing to do with servers being down. YOu have reets retreat for that! Now, play nice and let us keep on spamming this post!

They havent banned any one frustrated. Only people posting non forum links. Which is due to people posting unopropriate (bad spelling) links. which is understandable

The server (or whatever) is borked! They are looking into it... (Untill further notice, I'm assuming the office cat is fine)

Now as to the 'heavy handed' moderation you're complaining about, think about it first...

How many people are posting here, today, right now? How many posts are being made?

With all the flaming going on at the moment (because we're pissed that our favourate game is down when we should be happily ignoring the pots in the sink and shouting at the kids to shut up because they've just got us killed by messing around), think how many posts Anna has to moderate!
IF she's being heavy handed, the reason is simple, she hasn't got the time to ***** foot around us all and pander to our individual griefs.
She HAS to make snap decisions on what is going down in REAL TIME.

So, if you want less snap decisions, cause less problems/infractions...

And before you ask me what I know about it, I moderate for AOU, Budabot, and another five forums that have nothing to do with AO, and I also ADMIN another three...

The person she was talking about was spamming muli-topics and he just posted porn in this thread :P so yes she has reason to be upset, ARK isn't "FUNCOM", "FUNCOM" is not removing your posts. ARK's are, if it wasn't for their volunteer work we'd be so over run its not even funny. And before you pick on arks for their free service they give you, how about you apply if you want petitions answered faster.

This is a thread about the server downtime, not videos of hamsters, porn (another forum violation), or for "chatting and BSing". All else is off topic.

Attacking each other, Funcom, or moderators is not tolerated. You agree to follow instructions by using these forums, accept the consequences of that decision, please.

There are multiple places it is appropriate to "chat and BS" on these forums, Reet Retreat being one, LoRK being another (as long as its not spam). Go do it there, not here.

Multiple threads on the same topic are not useful, and will be removed. Reposting moderated material is against the rules, and will result in infractions.
