We're taking live down for a little bit to take backups of the databases.
We'll be using those backups to test the server merge on Testlive.

So umm you are doing test migration on live data, will this mean that our live characters will be on test or on some new enviroment?

Good good, i'de want to log onto test later and try the creating of a new org, plant a city and all that so i hope it won't be a problem finding ppl to form an org with (if i need to do that on test) so i can plant the city etc etc.

So, is there any time estimate when you're gonna perform the actual merge on TestLive?
Ie. some point at which we can check inventories etc? Or are you merging the two DBs right away?

It's not really that big issue now.

The one on test is a fork from live one, so just compare those two side by side.

Well, TL is obviously down if they replace its DB with the one from Live (RK1 i reckon). However the question is if they're performing the merge itself right away, or if this will be done in the course of next week rather (during normal office hours i'd think)...

what about market place ? we loose stuff and creds from it after merge or it stays in market database ?

It's different DB, so only issue is the character linking...
