AO...my first love...after playing this MMO, It is really hard for me to pick up another because everything is spoon fed to you in other MMOs. I tried TSW, AoC, Warcraft, and GW, GW2.

They are all the same. AO is challenging, makes you work for what you want.

hehe same here, played gw2 and got to end game in like 10days got my gear and started farming money, cose im pvm money junkie. After a while i asked my self why am i collecting money there's nothing better i can buy. After that i stopped playing. Also hit lvl50 go in shop to buy 50lvl gear is just so lameeeeeeeee!

This is something many people forget when they claim that "the majority" wants something after just posting a poll on a forum. MMORPG.com forums beeing some sort of crucible for this.

AO being my first MMO too (as I think playing about 30 minutes of Meridian 59 don't really count) I'v played some decent MMOs since but no one came even close to what is AO to me and how much I played. Hell, I even met my later wife here.

No skill involved at all in that. We can't just equip something because we are that lvl. It just doesn't happen that way.

What, you don't recall all those last times we ad interviews with the gamedirector, Lindelu, for instance, and one of the first questions was "how was the problems with the AO launch and what did you do with that?" or similar. They didn't seem to have done any research on anything. Even as little as knowing that the one they were interviewing was someone who'd only been on the team the last few years.

Also it would be amazing, if server merge would be avaliable before christmass. So we can have epic notum battles for holidays. That wouls be a major marketing tool, getting people cought up on meaningfull open world massive combat.

The only reason I still find AO so enjoyable ... when all other games are just plain boring and mind numbing ... AO always pulls me back with its complex skill system, its variety and the sheer experimentation that it allows. Please do NOT dumb this game down. I do think that in its current form, this complexity is just overwhelming for most, but if the complexity and variety could be presented in an easy way, then I think it would be more intriguing than scary.

I've played 6 other MMO's after AO and none of them even amounted to half the experience I had with AO. So glad it's getting an engine revival to keep it looking fresh and hopefully gather a larger community.
