    I wonder if Funcom's strategy to leech the community of its preeminent members (even Silirrion will always be to me "the guy who wrote the Hollow Island guide on aovault, then became game director and said a new engine was coming soon when he knew it won't, just before leaving to another game") was a good long-term one? When you keep taking community developers instead of professionals, what's the community left with? Mastablasta?

    This is also a game that has amazing depth to it and really requires someone to play it for at least a year to have any kind of real idea what they're doing. They could hire people that are unfamiliar with it just to do art updates and whatnot, but anything that requires personal input from the developer wouldn't be in good hands with someone unfamiliar with the game.
