    Not sure if it's supposed to handle that by itself, but it did not.

    I could prolly stop/start parser in order to reset the stats i guess, i haven't tried it yet, but if this is not the case a "reset" button would be in order.
    Which OS are you using?
    Is UAC enabled?
    Did it write the script files correctly after the folder was created?

    A start-stop will reset the parse [as of version 1.1, for older versions it depends on whetever old logs are enabled]

    w7, seems like i have uac on, but on the very lowest setting, so i guess that could be it stopping it.

    Which version of the parser are you using?
    Mind trying out a debug-build of that version, to see whats actually happening with the directory creation?

    In UAC settings, it should be using the appdata directory [at least if AO uses it].

    Nice parser indeed, thanks for that!

    One question - Can you add a button to reset the results manually, instead of waiting 10minutes for it to reset itself?

    Using the newest version, beta, it still doesnt reset the last result even if u logoff/log back in.

    Great job anyway with the parser!

    Using the newest version it should reset if you start/stop, as it doesnt support any backlog what so ever. (it wipes the logfiles)

    If it still uses some old data in new fights (after stop/start, not pause/start), let me know and ill poke around, see if there's a bug somewhere.

    Though I could always add a button/hotkey for reset

    you could add bar visualization and cooldown analyzer like on this web-dumper i made when i heard of ingame browser.
    sadly implementation of the browser is so bad, you'll never see this made public

    Having some fancy graphs was initially in the plans, but the userbase is too low to warrant it.
    Thats quite fancy looking though.. is it php/asp?
    Got any API in place, or does it only accept logfiles?
    If it has an API (something ala pastbin sites), I could have it upload stats and include a link ingame.

    This still works if you use symlinks from
    ao\prefs -> appdata\prefs and
    appdata\scripts -> ao\scripts

    How did you select a dimension. I see only RK1 and RK2?

    I know it's kinda late, but this tool was wonderful for tracking various stats and as a damage parser. I see you're still reading the forums so I sent you a PM MrPete.

    Can it be updated for the new glancing hit system and to work for the new client without symlinking?

    Are you able to github it? I have some Python knowledge and could try updating it.

    I am currently trying to download the 'new engine', but the crapware installer makes life very difficult.

    Low speed, unable to pause/resume without it wiping all the files, etc..
    Got to the point where it finished downloading, popped up asking for admin rights as I was typing, and it ended up wiping the entire directory again.

    God help me..

    I'll put it up on a public repo, installing AO is proving to be too much of a headache. Did not expect a full days job just to install the game.

    Start the downloader, go to the folder it's saving to, open the text file, and copy the links into a real downloader like Free Download Manager.

    I downloaded via torrent after 3 installer fails. Problem is.. When its done, and you dont install, it deletes all files. I have never seen anything like it.

    Yeah it's pretty stupid (hello fc!) but make a copy of the files before installation in case of something goes wrong, best advice i can give atm i guess.
