Of greater interest to me in this latest Testlive patch is the removal of all classic RK and SL heakits and their replacement with the unified kits that work both on Rubi-Ka and in the Shadowlands, and which restore both health and nano at the same time.

this gives the testserver hermits and social outcasts time to type up a guide to post on ao-u before the instance hits live. this way the masses of sheeple on live can turn their brains off and follow a guide instead of playing with the instance and exploring it on their own.

all in all a win-win solution

There won't be an AOU Guide before the instance comes out. Over my dead body. AOU made a deal with Means regarding release of guides. There is a 7 day period where AO Universe will NOT release guides covering any new content, be it raids, tradeskills, quests, etc.

You can submit a guide, but it won't be released until a week later if it's new content.

The contest motivated me enough to get a team together and try the PF on test (team of 4 total). Seems like a success to me if people were encouraged to bring their friends on to test and do something together.

i like how you're commenting without having seen the instance. it's pretty brutal. all i will say is the loot better be significantly better than what is currently in the patchrips for it to be worth the effort. even if you *know* what to do, actually *doing* it isn't exactly simple.

aside from being pretty buggy there's a few design flaws that i sincerely hope will be addressed before the instance hits live.

EDIT: and i highly suggest doing it with people who's skills and gear you trust. trying to do it with a pickup group will make you want to drive to your teammates' houses and stab them in the face with a spoon.
