Well, it seems like AO players are over-represented in the Planescape: Torment-is-a-very-good-game category I played it for a long time until I found out that the "DO NOT OPEN" box I opened early prevented me from fighting the big bad monster...

Still, I loved the game, the story and the character development. Definately the most über character I've ever made in the D&D system..

I never knew Planescape: Torment was such a poor seller. Yep, it had the best story of any Bioware/Infinity game and it was fun, and could be very damn hard in places.

Explains why they've never made another Planescape game then

For all you old schoolers out there...anyone remember Starflight I and Starflight II?

    Now THOSE were great Games.

I don't think anyone on here has said Nethack... that can't be right... I can't be the only one here who spent way more time on my university's unix box looking for the Amulet of Yendor than I ever did writing my programs for class...

Age - they are too young

-> Jynne: You will have a rather hard time to find AO players that will recall (Net)Hack. I am - cough - 30+, and 'just' played the PC(AT) version (and I loved it).

    So long,

P.S. Doesn't mean, that those old guys don't play AO, but I guess, we are the minority.
    100% curious

Another vote for nethack. . .

it is FREE and it is STILL evolving. (current version 3.4.0) Better than most games out there that cost mucho bucks.

    Endlessly fascinating and rewarding. . . .
