AO has been dying slowing since the ****** 12.6 patch. Yeah that **** long. I am still ***** off about the dual wielding freedom arms solder that logged in after 12.6 to find I had no ***** guns anymore. Just like FC to delete from game the only good shop buyable item and screw over a crap load of players in the process. Then FC decided to push this stupid crap on us called notum wars. You know the **** truth about notum wars was not PVP it was a way to remove all the nice leveling spots players where using and sell it off as story line. Yep FC really likes taking crap away from us.

Here is where it get so **** grand. Shadow Lands comes out and quietly provided armor with no ***** **** **** AC holes. So over night we go from multiple weapons carried to swap to the best damage for the armor the player is wearing to dump your specials and perk away *********. I mean come on FC is it the master plan to **** off the players in such a way that we all just leave?

Now lets talk about that stupid expansion called Alien Invasion. Yes that piece of ****** crap. I mean really two levels on a crappy new starter area and then for the really truth no viable way short of a great org to get the rest of the levels. And ******* up the ***** who ever came up with the weapon skill scaling for the AI weapons. I mean really what the ***** did the *** wipe think they were doing? And oh yeah thank you for those non story line **** looking cities that really were yet another way of taking even more of the RK ***** outdoor hunting spots away. I really hate the ****** mission online ******** that you have developed with this continued **** over of the outdoor hunting.

And I have renamed LE to mean Loser Extreme. After all the **** outdoor content you add in mechs and **** expect us to use them but **** there are so many can equip restricitions on them that hey ***** you and the damn mechs.

Then you create the **** Loser are the Xan expansion. As ****ing bad as that was I really thought you had created the worst ***** possible content. But you know what I was **** surprised when you introduced the ****** collector instance. The lets give our close friends a ******* loot fest and then actually make it so that no ******* one else could ever get anything good. Not happy with just ******* us over FC makes the piece of ***** even harder.

And through all this I have done 1 million ******* infernio missions and really ******* hate them sorry *** excuses for SK gain. Just how the **** are we susposed to enjoy camp online if all we ever do is bash **** rocks and run stupid ***** infernio missions.

Please just make Anarchy Online into Anarchy Offline. Those poor ***** hamsters in the server room need to retire. And the power saved will help balance the line on those ***** quarterly reports FC puts out. Not like they ever mention **** AO, you would think FC does not know they own the **** ***** game.

I was driving home today, rather late, tho that's become the norm lately. At a red light which gave the traffic a little pause, to the left of me, I notice a dog, sitting there, staring at the cars. What's up with that, dog? Sitting there, minding your own business, just staring at the cars. I don't get it. Do you sit there all day? Or did you just arrive in the tiny interval of me passing-by-waiting-at-the-light? I don't quite get it. You stare at the cars, but do you get there's people in the cars staring back at you, wondering what the staring is all about? I turn my head to the left, the car in the lane to go left contains a lady and a small child. The child is looking at some sort of booklet, but the lady looks at the dog. I wonder if she's thinking of a reason why the dog is staring at us. Maybe she is. Perhaps we could form a front to counter this dog-staring business. Or maybe she's looking at the wall behind the dog, a rather ugly wall, painted in a rather ugly color. Maybe both.
Damn dog... staring at the cars. It only lasted a total of around 2 minutes, the time it took for the lights to change to green, but damn you... dog...

What, you say that’s not QQ enough? The **** profession has been jacked up and jerked around since forever. What illiterate moron came up w/the genius idea for GA?? A gang of drunk chimps maybe? You’d have to be able to lose your *** even with flashlight and a map to say “nowai!! Gr8 idea!! Let’s make l33t OP armor for fixers – and have it based on MC!!! That’s dark blue skills, they have loadz! And it should look like….Smurfette! Yah, she’s hot! Oh, and we’ll make the end version super rare so when you want to put the 4th on you have to sit in Bor selling implants for six months.”

But we really know how it is…FC hates fixers. GA was only the first part of the plot. That let them point at GA fixers and say it has to be balanced around *that* item and not the other 95% of the population. And for the fixers who kept playing was the gift of SL…otherwise known as “buy all new buffs and suck it”. Runspeed, roots, snares, meeps – you thought that made you a fixer?! Pffft…not here. Have some snares that don’t land. Oh, you want ones that do? Have a nineteen-jillion second single target one. Oh…you want to use CC on more than one mob? Roll a crat. You want to give your team evade buffs? Roll an MA. You want to evac your team? How about you all die instead. At least you have perks you say….pfffft. Profession perks are about as useful as ****** in *****. Then AI which was nothing but more ****. Dark Kin perk = suckage. And the weapons – who knew FC could make the blue ***** (Perennium Beamer) look good?! KSMG? Ugly green piece of **** - not only does it look like a hillbilly ******* that’s all it’s good for. KMP5? Who the **** wants to run around with a matched set of bile-tinted ****** Magic Bullet blenders. Clearly an attempt to crush the souls of stylish fixers everywhere. LE/Xan – I don’t even need to explain the joy of trying to do anything against mobs that hit you for 3k+ when all you have is evades. And the attempt to turn fixers into soldiers in miniskirts and hotpants by giving them FA is final evidence that even FC can't run out of bad ideas.

So now you have a profession that is based purely on evades – and no one knows how they work. When the **** hits the fan, all you can do is pile on more evades and pray. No heals, no blockers, no coon, no toolset other than some weird***random defense and there’s not even a way to show if it works right. So what if the mob hit you 23 times in a row – get better def!! You don’t know the mobs AR? Get 6k def. It still hits you? Roll a crat. Be PROUD that you’re the only profession that completely depends on a check that NO ONE explains or has been able to prove. That makes you special. Really special. So special that come rebalance your opi chick that you rolled to look at her *** is getting a HP-BASED HOT at *ALL* levels. Who rolls fixers for their HP? Jesus Christ on a crutch…dead people have more brains than that. You got 1500 hp and we’re going to heal 4% of that a hit – no ****! 60 hp!! ZOMG! That’s gonna be great if the ******* mob SPITS on you!! And that dark blue nano skill? Guess what suckers!! You’re going to need even more of it. Fixers got no IP problems right?

This is the profession that defines AO for so many people. The heart of the cyberpunk concept. And it’s been jacked up and jerked around for so many years no one can even find the drawing board to get back to. (sneak attack buff anyone?)

Seven ****ing years... SEVEN YEARS! I've been sitting here, 3 accounts... playing, reading the forums every day... paying my sub every month... I know people who've been doing it for longer, but they're just freaks...

Nerf AS Pistols.

Whoever designed the Troa'ler never thought through the ramifications to the professions for which the special is a natural nemesis for, or, those professions who are weak against ranged attacks, or those professions who cannot tank huge amounts of damage over long periods. The person who thought up the AS pistol, has likely never played enforcer, MA, shade, Keeper, Agent, MP or trader (basically any non-pistol prof), at endgame.

The AS pistol was the largest mistake EVER to get past Beta. The AS pistol is a fallacy of balance, it takes a couple ideas in game that are conceptually good, and puts them together in a package that has almost every prof (including those using it) scratching their heads. The sheer magnitude of OP'ness of the AS pistol highlights at three factors which need to be adjusted before any semblance of balance can be achieved in game with regards to this pistol.

Aimed shot mechanics The AS mechanics are good, but built on the assumption that most weapons which offer the 100% to hit special would come with their own drawbacks, such as very low damage (note the ABC), or, if offered on a weapon with other specials, has a severly low damage range, or huge recharge timers, to reduce the actual damage output to high burst damage, or slower damage over time. The pistol breaks BOTH of these balancing rules.

Crit multipliers: When several profs are able to use the AS special at high crit multipliers due to the enormous amount of IP available in the SL levels, combined with special skill adding armour, a Scope (which in no WAY should ever have been un-prof-locked from agent) and achieve top crit multipliers which make it capable of CAPPING damage on ENFORCERS - let alone any other prof (of particular note, evade profs with a high crit resist rating), there is a large issue with the pistols actual damage output.

Peripheral Support For a profession such as doctor to be utilizing the AS pistol without any drawbacks is a severe misjudgement on the part of the developers and the testers. For a doctor to be using the best special in game, with a FULLY supported toolset, and no drawbacks to any other part of the toolset means, very simply that they too can utilize the best offensive prowess in game, WHILE maintaining the one of the strongest defensive toolset in game. Other professions, such as adventurers, who utilize the the other top tiered defence, in terms of evades in conjunction with reflects and abosrbs, AND who has an even better complimentary toolset for maximizing the special and the pistol offence, it's beyond misjudgement, it's bad management. This type of weapon should never have made it past the drawing board, let alone into test.

The magnitude of imbalance represented by this single addition to the game is demoralizing, at best, for any profession seeking to play a balanced game. In conclusion, the Aimed Shot pistol, in conjunction with fully supported toolsets on already strong professions, no drawbacks, and complimentary offensive options to further increase it's offensive capabilities is, simply, Anarchy Online's biggest failure.

Yesh, the title says something because, quite frankly, I know I have some QQ-potential to put here,
but cookie it all, you guys managed to suck even that out of me. I've been a devoted AO player over
the years, not really among the most hardcore and good pvp'ers, nor pve'ers, but decent in my
honest opinion.

I've believed in you guys, developing new items, content and whatnot, and I even believed you guys when the new engine was announced to come. Since then I've upgraded my PC 3 times, including 2 cpu and gpu-upgrades. 1 RAM and harddrive update and what do you know? Still the same graphics, which quite frankly by now is more worth as nostalgia more than anything else.
8 months ago, I therefore decided to take a break, after a prolonged masspvp (/assist,q,rinse and repeat) run lasting almost a year, until the engine comes out.

Yes I am on the, for now, winning side but even that gets boring in the end. BS runs as a MA is somewhat more running, hoping to find a single target that I'm able to stun/crit to death. That excludes most professions really, but that might be because of my lack of skill.
BS runs as a doc is either fun or frustrating as it's always either 1 person falling behind I can bore to death, or there are 6+ Q+1-10 on you at once, which diminishes my options to BI, BI, BI, perk heal, BI, BI etc..

And the pve.. I remember when Beast actually was somewhat of a challenge, I remember wiping on TNH and SS and quite frankly, I miss those times. Now you need 3 skilled people (and a lot of time at hand) to take down "The Beast", that's just WRONG!

But, back to the engine update and other things that annoys me.
PLEASE get your cookies in motion and actually try to finish this project.
PLEASE address the bugs that should have been taken out of the game several years ago
PLEASE get the rebalance ingame.
PLEASE make MA uber again, I feel like they have been left out and gotten further down on the chain for every damn patch since I started playing.

EDIT: Oh, and when I for once suggested an item for MA's, the nano stun glove perennium upgrade, I wrote a letter to you guys, fully knowingly that the suggestion might not be something to implement in the game, but you should AT LEAST reply with a message of some kind. Whether it's an automated "thank you for your request, we will see what we can do for you." message or an actual reply, typed in manually, I would have had respect for that, no matter the outcome. But nooooo, not a single word came back my way, which is really demeaning considering I am paying for 2 accounts with all content.

This game has been a big part of my life and I have to admit that it has costed me a couple personal relationships, which I kind of regret, seeing how AO is today.
And while we are on more personal things.
I'm currently out of a job, I have accounts here on AO and AoC, but both games are going down the drain, as they are now. I have 1 hobby left irl, and sometimes even that isn't enough to fill up my days. This is starting to frustrate me more and more, and I fear that I will have to take drastic measures very soon (no, I'm not starting a WoW-account)! I might actually have to start going outside and do more stuff than I have before, like exercising, going back to school, looking for a new girlfriend.. Things that normal people do on a daily basis, but something that I don't really wish I have time for! My life belongs to AO, and partly AoC, not out in the open world!

So here's my problem. For months now i have been off and on disconnecting while i zone. I reinstall. Still happening. Email tech support "Reinstall" Ok fine. Reinstall 3 or 4 times. Still having disconnect issues...Tech support gives up, sends me to some other GM. Who's answer is to reinstall. So now...having gotten used to never knowing if i can stay connected when using the grid or going to another area the new trick is...Crashing randomly while running through the middle of a zone not doing anything but running. Like Hard "would you like to send bug report crashing" Where do these bug reports go? The file 13 of Funcom?

OH and...What the **** is with the broken *** geometry in Daily buildings. I got stuck in the door last night....In the door!! That's regod***diculous.

So way back when, AO offered the best god**** payment option possible for the poor mothercookies like me who didn't have a major credit card - Bill to phone bill. You put your number in, and whammo, FC puts your AO sub on your phone bill, pay with cash at your nearest currency exchange w/o paying the premium for GameCash cards or w/e cookies they use now.

So, one day, I change my phone service, and assume it'll just migrate over since I kept the same number. No cookie'ing way. FC bills the old phone company. Those mothercookies reverse the charges for a 12 month sub. So, in order to be able to play my old account, active since beta (and the toons STILL EXIST! on an account locked for more than 8 years!) I actually need to pay FC $150 or so just to reopen the sub. WTF. Support can't do jack - didn't play at all that year, but still can't do jack cookies. I want my pioneer backpacks. Cookie it all to hell.

And where the **** is the **** improved crat briefcase? Come on, my melee shadecase crat would FREAKING ROCK with something more than 50 min damage and psych as AR.

Reclaim Terminal - Remember when you had to get all your crap from the terminal instead of sending MAIL?
Paid Points - Remember when they said you could transfer points IN GAME for IN GAME content?

So now that you may or may not remember these 'little' changes, let me shed some light on what my game life is many years later......

2500 fricking USELESS paid points transfered in game.
What can I do with it? .... I dunno. Buy 30 of the same Phasefronts?
Name change? Not in game. Player shop? Not in game.
What do I do with 2500 paid points in game?......
Fricking stare at it.

Token grind? ... PFFT. I did a token grind BEFORE dailies and if I have to see one more nub post how many tokens they got from being chased by a bunch of ROLLERATS, I am gonna puke.

Powerleveling? .. I -love- seeing a 220 toon running around sending tells asking how they can find some symbiants or where the best place to get tokens are. I always try and sell them a lock pick for 3 mil while I am at it.

So, all in all, what has AO taught me that can aid me in the real world?.....

In theory, I can mongo and rob a gas station. Everthing I loot will be yesdrop so I can sell it to everyone else. I will make off with all loot by carrying 25 backpacks with me. And when the cops come after me, I will simply run into my backyard where they magically cannot touch me or harm me. I will proceed to emote hump their feet while talking pointless smack to them about flags and epeens. I will continue to talk more smack until someone writes out a petition against me. Then a GM will appear out of no where to deal with the situation. As long as I didn't break any rules, like harrassment, the GM will tell me to play nice with the police and to have a great day. I will then sell my 25 backpacks worth of gas station loot in the shopping channel so I can argue with 36 people via tells about the proper and going price of one paticular peice of loot. This will continue until I commit suicide and end up at a reclaim terminal or my garden, depending on wether I clicked a terminal or stepped on a magic round bubble......

Basically, AO has done DICK for me in the real world. The least they could do is give genuine improvement a real shot so I can enjoy the GAME more. Quit talking about what you are gonna do and Fricking do it already. If you were chefs, instead of game designers, I would be really thin and dead from starvation.

And to end my QQ, I would like to say that the way you changed how gems and rings look really helped me deal with some anger issues. I would get all excited I found something new, realize you changed the way the same ol crap looks, swear at my computer, go smoke a cigarette, and come back to the keys out of pure addiction. I have repeated this process over and over. I will either die from smoking......be driven to become yoga master...... Or see a new game engine we have been promised for ages.
