From what I'm reading on another forum, that recording is not Komorav's last words. While it is alleged that another tracking station did hear his final moments, the audio clip in the article is merely an earlier recording of the cosmonaut reciting some propaganda, ground control asking him to repeat the statement because it wasn't clear, and the cosmonaut saying it again.

Either way, it was a senseless tragedy and Komorav's bravery should not be forgotten.
