    Defensive/aggressive script command

    This would be really great, a command you could
    combine in an "evac" macro, for example a macro
    command like /defaggro, you could have combined
    it in your "/macro EVAC /defaggro" and it would slide
    the aggressive slider down to
    0%aggressive/100%defensive instead of having to
    move it 'by hand', which could be quite troublesome
    while blitzing thru the mission, looking for the
    zone exit.

    Give us a command like this!

    Exactly!

    I remember being introduced to the first online RPG I ever played (a mud named MUME, which is still running btw) and one of the first things I was instructed to do was to make aliases for switching from mood wimpy (full def) to mood aggressive (90% agg) and back.
    In that game the agg-def setting meant a lot. You could move something like 80-90% of your offensive bonus to your defensive bonus and back with those commands.
    When I started playing AO (fall of 2001) one of the first things I looked for was that. On finding the slider I set it to 80% since I was used to full agg meaning Bersek mode (ie. you fight until he or you die. No mercy, no retreat).
    Imagine my surprise and dissapointment when I discovered that full def didn't do you any good for defence. All it did was slow you down.
    Nowdays, with my MA with implanted and 70% maxed evades (catching up slowly) setting to max def does in fact help a little.
    If I'm fighting greens.

    With maxed and implanted evades I expect it'll help more but still, setting that slider by hand is a pain since you can't really exactly how much you are setting it to (costum skins aside).
    In battle you are also either to busy or to lagging to set it on the fly too.

    So give us a command and let us macro it!
    And make defensive skills more usefull like you promised.

    Evades are better but might need a litte tweaking, Nano resist is fairly broken (on players, for NPCs it work just fine), Parry seem to work better these days, which leaves:
    Riposte, this skill is fairly useless today. While evades were worked on there was talk about reworking this skill so it would actually become useful. Have this been forgotton?

    Great idea. If they can incorporate view distances, I don't see why your agg bar would be hard to do as well.

    I would bump this, but at the moment I am trying to click that tiny little slider while my video lags out from great big flashy plasma guns and the 2 NTs with their flashy nukes right in front of me.

    :-)





























    Sure, I could turn off the nano effects and the muzzle flash and all that, but then it just looks like a bunch of mimes fighting and that scares me. I don't like mimes.

    Great idea. Even better w/ new uber mobs and NW coming out. AGG/DEF bar will be very strategic.
