An emblem for Newland

Dear Citizens of Newland,
Our city is prospering and the future looks very bright for us. Thus my office has to decided to create a competition to celebrate our beautiful city.
What we want is every able artist to create an emblem for Newland City. It does not have to be very elaborate, but it should be distinctive. A symbol of our independence and our way of life.
Once we have some artworks sent to the office we will choose the one we feel best fits our city.

If you feel you are up to this task please send your work to my office via gridnet.

(( OOC: The artist we choose will need to sign a release waiver stating that they agree to have their work displayed in-game. Docaholic recently signed the same form for his icon work, and any other contributors will have to do the same. As a reward, though, your new symbol will be seen in-game and made available on new items incoming to Anarchy Online. =)

We also ask that you please submit all entries as a static jpg/png/gif image, retaining your work files for later - If we choose your entry, we will ask for the work files as to ensure we have the highest quality copy of the image for use in-game.

Yellow – the color of the desert, which is located Newland City
Blue – the color of the lake
Open the gates – a sign of free trade and communication
Сrossed swords – a sign of protection and an invitation to BS
Neutral territory – clarification for newcomers to the game

While the council is waiting for their formal report from us following the informal introduction on Sunday, they could look at the kind of logo or sticker design that can be released alongside the emblem. The cost would be entirely covered by GANC, of course.
