Actually it was on both live servers.

I'm betting that the devs dont actually do the down time as means before talked about a the guy that maintains the servers reset them while the devs were making a patch. So it was just someone that confused 'Test Live." for "Live" most likely.

Loving the latest patches! I've been waiting to make sure the Collector was finished debugging before checking it out, myself. I'll probably be off to do that tonight.

As far as the unfairness with the people that farmed it while it was bugged, well, that's going to happen with anything. Yeah, it's obnoxious, but on the flipside, there are that many people now that won't be in line ahead of anyone when they drop the old fashioned way. That is a beautiful thing.

Besides, if I were cranky enough to voice a complaint about people exploiting anything, it'd be more along the lines of Razor and Xark. It's mildly irritating to want to complete a questline simply for the fun of doing so but due to them being camped by everyone under the sun that wants to farm them to get a quick buck from drops. Separating farmer drops from quest-required mobs would be lovely, but that's my only real complaint. That's more of a civility issue than a patch thing, anyway.

Me just saying: Boost RK normal mob xp NOW! . How hard can it be? .. Just make it a bit more closer to SL mobs one. Noone (kinda) goes into the Rubi-Kan nature to earn xp .. like people do in most games .. go into the forest and kill mobs for xp! Current xp is a joke. Rubi Ka is the heart of the game .. not SL .. remember?

The discussion between Alternity and myself came to the tenative conclusion that we need to seriously re-examine droprates and such on things to make it so that the new player doesn't feel as though it'll be nigh-impossible to compete with the older veterans in any real sense while giving the veterans something to continue to strive for that's damn near impossible to get.

Any thoughts on this? I think this will be a pretty important part of the rebalancing act going forward and will need to be sorted out and looked into soon.

Been mentioning this when people complain about only certain profs are wanted for those ideal teams to do a zone. I go into detail in a thread I started on the matter but the general idea is that rather than try to get the end item, we collect common drops and official raid points instead. Low drop rates are their way of getting us to do it again and again. The same could be done with points and common drops made unique or nodrop unique in a zone you can't go back in once you leave meaning you need to do the zone multiple times. The difference is when collecting common drops and points you can see yourself getting closer to your goal. With random luck it can be rather frustrating and you never know how many times you'll have to do it. The zone or NPC you buy things from with points could then offer other things as well like buffs, consumed items and such.

Quick question, is the new ICC armour the start of a revamp of all the guards across Rubi Ka?
As for example the Watchers and the Vanguards in Old Athens, the Urban Patrollers in Tir and Newland Militia are beginning to look jaded.

A. I can only choose one thing to "work" on a day? I can't do a daily mish for sk/research, then one for VP, then another for AXP, then another for tokens? That is not a viable alternative to leveling on any of those fronts.

B. The research reward for a 220 is kinda a joke, 36k added to my research for flying all over RK to target dreads? This is not a viable alternative which is what it was promised to be.

3. The non-elite mission is just random? I have no say in what it is and if I don't like it and don't want to do it I'm locked out of getting a new mish for 18hrs?

4. I get basically two tokens (18 added to token count) for completing the mish? That is not a viable alternative.

Daily Mishes need to be scaled way up to make them viable at this point...

1. Iirc, it was never meant to be a 'viable alternative' to standard methods - just a substantial extra bit every day which also detracts from the standard grind.

2. Agreed that research for *all* levels is a joke as they are capped, but I suppose the research wouldn't be much work like it should be if it wasn't capped eh?

4. Tokens were an addition that, again iirc, were added later. We should be thankful they come with the daily missions, as I don't think they did before.

But yes, mission scaling should be taken into consideration!
