    175+ can get healed by 220 at 150 wars and thats the main issue why it should get fixed.

    True VV, that is a big problem. Many ppl have said it before, healing flagged ppl should flag you, & I agree.

    That'd be a little frusting, but there's plenty of 170ish twinks about. Ppl make twinks with pvp ranges in mind, I'm sure they'll continue to do so.

    Repeat / rehash of http://forums.anarchy-online.com/sho...1&postcount=26 even looks like the same formula was used.

    Until rebalancing and overall reduction in the power of all profs, rescaling pvp is pointless. After that - make pvp ffa above 75, it'll mean no more solo twinks wiping the field and also mean that a higher level toon is vulnerable to a swarm of lower level toons.

    Aye, we did use the same formula (because it's logical, right? ;0).

    However, I must disagree with you. Making tl5 pvp more balanced (aka: more fun for the lowbies) is far from pointless from my point of view.

    FFA pvp above 75? I'm sorry (not really), but that's one of the absolute worst ideas I've ever heard. In fact, it was mentioned earlier that the pvp range used to be 75-200. Why do you think they got rid of it?

    A high enough toon will never be vulnerable to a "swarm" of lower level toons. Firstly, a good tl7 will never be killed by the average tl5 twink (165-174). Second, when's the last time you saw a "swarm" of lower players at a tower battle? All the "swarms" are at tl7, so it's really the low players who'll be instakilled at towers by swarms of high level players.

    My intention was to make tower battles less oriented around tl7 support. What you're suggesting is the opposite.

    ya bump, pvp ranges do need a fix. i totally agree that a tl 7 ganking a tl 5 is wrong based on skill increase past lvl 200 and access to better items and weapons.

    Tl5 vs tl7 is not so big as it may seem,
    after 200 implants & symbs start to give lower benefits then before.
    Also, the higher you go, the less twinking potential you have.

    With the current situation, tl5 vs tl7 is reasonable because honestly
    there is no tl6 in the game. It's just some middle phase in nowhere.
    However if FC decided to put some actual (pvm) content to tl6
    things could be looked at again.

    Big bump.

    The best and by far easiest way to fix this is to add a title level check.
    This idea was invented by yours truly and posted in tons of threads already.

    It would work like this: You can only attack your own TL, one above and one under. This is in addition to the regular level check!

    It will in reality only affect tl7 vs tl5. Which is exactly what is needed.

    The highest a 174, or any other tl5 for that matter would face would be level 204. 204 is still quite potent compared to a tl5, but it's not an automatic win against any numbers like a 214.

    It also solves the problem with 174's healed by 215+.

    Someone will inevitably say: Wut about all the 189 twinks that will spring?

    189 is nothing. You're capped at 170 ish already so all you get is another perk and some nanos. And a 189 can't do bs so I don't think there will be many of those.

    I think you forgot that you can raise skills 5x as much after level 200.

    Indeed, current pvp ranges would make sense if, say, a tl7 player could be killed by several lower ones. But as it is now 10 174 twinks can bash on one 219 as long as they want and they will never kill him, so bump for fixing pvp ranges.

    And when's the last time you saw 10 174 twinks that are either omni or clan (with some neut on either side)? I haven't even seen 10 twinks total in BS in god knows how long. Just people that are leveling or aren't twinked.

    What I was thinking as I read the thread. Makes the most sense imho.

    100s attacking 50s would be funny though.

    Though I'm assuming that's what you meant by in addition to your own level check, so if your level check takes you from TL5 to TL7 it gets blocked by a TL6 block.

    I'd like if for example a level 120-180 base only went 25% for the people who are level 120-180, and for anyone higher or lower, it would still be a 75% area.
    This would solve both the issue with too wide level ranges at tl5+ and the issue with people above the range still being able to pocket someone in the range while being untouchable (since you can't heal or buff someone in 25% if you're in 75% yourself).
    This would also make tl6 a viable range to twink at, and it would make the level 150-200 or level 160-210 bases more than something you have to plant with QL164 towers or lower like always.

    It does mean that you could be in a situation where your level 151 cannot defend against a level 150, but no matter how you make it there will always be situations where you're one level too high or too low, I don't see it as a big issue.

    Perhaps it would also be a good idea to adjust a few of the bases that are now level 100-150 so they are for example level 110-175 instead, to better reflect the current population. If not we'll just have to roll some more tl4 twinks, this isn't a big issue either imo.
