    Enfo Weapon perklines...

Can Enfos have a Melee Energy weapon perkline already? more valid weapon choices = good.

And if you want to be really daring, make piercing an option as well by giving enfos the first 5 perks or something of Piercing Mastery?

oh yes please, after all enfs are melee specialists and they do have ME/piercing nanos from before.

PS: Don't think that piercing mastery line is good idea, think it would produce to much whining. Maybe a bit nerfed version of it

Hell yeah. We get buffs and some small support, and even a few weapon choices... now, all we need is perks and research and its a nice lil addition to our toolset.

    Keeping this at the front.

MAs could do with a Bow perkline (SL), so that they have access to more AR for their second supported weapon, as well.

Give professions some more choices on what weapons we could go with!

enforcers have an increadible toolset and possiblity for variation already.
imo Shades or Keepers should get Melle energy instead to actually push them away from pure 2he or pericing builds and give them some variation options.
Enforcers have the best variation of setups in this game already and no point for us to cry for more.

I disagree. You can nerf yourself if you test those configurations. (believe me, I've made a deleted MANY enfs, that used different weapon configurations. I have several enfs that I play to test them at various low to mid levels, and use my tl7 to test high level ones) So far, we have had several close calls on a couple of nice other options, but if we can steer just a lil bit closer to the mark, we can make some of them very nice, worthwhile, and competitive options. Piercing and Melee Energy are the two im speaking about. In PVM situations, almost any combination is fine, but you will lack some DD if you dont have perk support for them.

You wanna talk about who has the "Best ability" to have different kinds of setups, then we are close to the top, but not AT the top.

we are at the top of possible viable alternatives.
    2hb
    2he
    1hb
    1he
    1hb/peircing
    1hb/1he
    1he/melee energy

all of those are competitive wepon choices for an enf.
and wich profession has more viable setups tehn we do?

    Keepers have - 2he
    shades have piercing or MA.

why be greedy and ask for more viable options when we already haev a very big variation of setups / tactics we can use already.
for example Lord Galahad sword uses 2he and Melee energy.
if keepers had a melee energy perk line aswell.. swords like that could be used for keepers that wanted some variation in their build etc.

Melee energy could use a bit more loving, yes. The Syndicate brain needs +100 ME, for example, to keep it ahead of the regular Brain Symbiants.

Not true. The first four you posted have the most mainline support. The second closest would be 1hb/1he, due to the stacking of our ability to support it in research and perks.

Piercing, and Melee Energy are not. They are versatile choices in certain situations, but not nearly as ahead of the pack as the others. We have no solid competitive perk support for either of those choices(those being AI perks only), so naturally, combinations of them are not as effective. I am not gunna comment on a 1he/melee energy setup, because that to me is such a weak link that it sort of speaks for itself.

Soldiers have, in a similar regard, some nice weapon additions. SMG, AR, Ranged Energy, and Pistol. 4 for 4, the way I see it. Versatile combinations and swaps, thereof as well. I personally look forward to a shotgun soldier someday as well.

Advs being the most versatile in combat that I am aware of, can swap between melee and ranged. If enfs could do that, then I'd consider enf versatility higher than Adv's. Sadly, this will never be true.

Finally, I'd like to say that I am also not basing my entire argument, in terms of just plain weapon support. There are several type of enfs, that do different things. Gank enfs (totally reliability of instant death in PVP) and DD enfs (high amounts of ++dmg gear) Raid tank enfs (high healdelta and health and survivability) as well as curiosities (off brand enfs that tend not to fit anywhere specificially due to hit and miss viabilties.. ie my nanomage piercing enf)

A very streamlined profession. I'd like to see them break out into much more viable 1he options as well. The picture of the keeper that is using 1he/pistol seemed kinda epic too. I have hope someday there is a major rework so I just might see a six shooter samurai. I'd support that lobby.

I've only heard of 1 shade being pure MA, and that was a while ago. Not heard anything from him ever since. And it was mixed setup (piercing/MA). I personally would love to see shades get more melee energy love. But, just like keepers, a very streamlined profession, their support for their very specific roles should be maintained to a degree.

I'd like to point out that my favour is towards my main profession. I don't play these others, so I dont really feel the need to defend them. I'd like to see some more versatile setups across the board, to be quite frank. Right now, im mostly concerned with pushing the limits of enforcers. I certainly would lobby for the other profs versatility, but that has nothing to do with the topic of this particular thread.

Because times are a' changing. We are in a transition currently, looking to improve a good load of identity altering things. The perk documentation is proof that they are looking into things much more deeply, and willing to update them to the modern. Why not ask? Not any one person can speak for the whole, so get in your wishes while you can. It has nothing to do with greed. I let other players fight for the changes of their own lovechildren. That's not being greedy, thats being representative.

There is never any harm in asking.

Moonbolt you are forgetting the fact that keeper profession is heavily specialized. Even if you would get ME support you sill have awful base for it. clicky. When you roll a keep you basically decide to be 2he for ever, and to be best at it. IMO you guys should want "being the best at it" part improved rather than wanting another weapon line support that would be just useless for you.

Enforcers however are all around melee specialists. And they have ME and piercing buff and gear support from before. Perkline/research would just make them actually viable.

btw.. i am an enforcer. i are runnign 1hb/1he atm... i do not see the need for a melee energy perkline when we have such a big variety of options already.

Bah didn't see that. Long story short I'd just prefer even more variety =) And lightsabers look cool :P

yes they look kool but are in general useless as wepons for an enf.
the Kyr energy hammer tho someone mentioned it was a competitive DPS pre xan wepons even w/o perks cause of the higher min dmg on wepons.
u can still run melee energy as enf and put those perks in manners of mongo for example or in w/e perkline u wish that doesnt require a wepon skill to work.
