(ic) The South Rubi-Ka Society is an old fashioned gentleman's club, complete with its very own butler and wine cellar. The Society's activities consist primarily of sponsoring a number of Omni registered charities and organising a range of cultural, educational and fundraising events. The South Rubi-Ka Society also runs it's own detective agency. The primary focus of the agency is protection of the Society's members, systems and property, but they are available for private casework too.

(ooc) The South Rubi-Ka Society is a small, somewhat eccentric roleplaying guild. All our members are roleplayers, we are not much good at anything else.

We run regular roleplaying sessions that feature player-GMed adventures. These adventures play very much like traditional, pen & paper roleplaying scenarios with the player-GM using “alts” to represent NPCs and narrative on the guild channel to describe all those things the AO engine won’t allow us to show like, say, footsteps in the sand or an angry mob coming towards you armed with torches and pitchforks.

Despite the overall air of respectability surrounding the Society, more often than not these adventures conspire to drag our characters into more dangerous and unsavoury territories, exploring such topics as drugs, corruption and land speculation, murder, pornography and of course clandestine leet fighting.

We are also, under the label World Leet Fighting Federation (WLFF) the organisers of the infamous leet fighting events.

The Society has been together around since November 2001. We are a pretty laid back bunch, we have no regulations worth speaking of, just the desire to roleplay our hearts out and have a laugh whilst doing so. We are always looking for a friendly, creative, roleplayers to join our ranks and would be particularly keen to hear from players with experience GMing pen & paper rpgs.
