    Clan Remembrance Day - April 18, 29483

We, the members of the Council of Truth, thank the participants and speakers of the Remembrance day celebration. The backdrop of Wartorn Valley proved to be a great choice. It served as a reminder of why we are clanners. A huge thanks goes to Cindi "Razishlyat" Bolieu of Clan Forsaken for putting forth a lot of the effort and organization. Ms. Bolieu is not a clerical staff member, nor is she a legacy clan leader. She is merely a clanner who thought that this date should not be overlooked. We are in her debt for her tireless work, organization, and communication.

Rousing speeches were given by Clan Leaders and other CoT Members.

    Some excerpts are below:

Razishlyat - Organizer and Member of Clan Forsaken
Free citizens of Rubi-Ka, We stand today straddling the past and the future. To your left, you will see the remains of a settlement now lost in the sand storms, destined to vanish forever. To your right, you will see the towering walls of Old Athen.

These sites are intrinsically valuable. They show what we have sacrificed for what we have accomplished. This city was not always Athen. It was once the crown jewel of Omni-Tek's northern operations, called Omni-2. Through sheer will, resolve, and sacrifice, Athen himself and the Clans liberated Omni-2. We won this freedom for all the peoples of Rubi-Ka.

Today, we celebrate Clan Day. The day the enslaved miners rose up against Omni-Tek, using any means they could find. Since then, to this day, we fight for their cause; that none on Rubi-Ka be forced under the lash of Omni-Tek. That every person has their right to choose between a life of freedom, or servitude. It is a choice that can - will - involve sacrifice. The more we present a united front, the easier it will be. No problem can be solved overnight - ours has taken many centuries, but our voices should be heard from Omni-2 to Omni-1.

Aideen Landau - Leader of the Unionist Clan
I was asked... to hold a speech... for today. But this day does... not need any... clever speeches and words. It speaks for... itself. Our ancestors stood up... against their oppressors... for their rights... and for dignity. And just as they... did so should... we.

Stand up against... the corporate oppressors... and take what is... rightfully ours!

Kisra Delus - Leader of the Eco Warriors Clan
...Rubi-Ka holds firm, Rubi-Ka does not yield, Rubi-Ka stands as one against all that threatens her. As the flows move through us all, we are all united. We are, each and every one of us, connected in ways invulnerable. In this way, you may look to your left, you may look to your right and see the face of Rubi-Ka looking back at you.

As we have fought long and hard, we must continue our struggle as one now. We must put aside that which seperates us and see that which unites. The children of unity we are, we fight for ourselves, we fight for our neighbour, we fight for the future of our planet. Each of these things are the same as we stand against those which threaten us. Rubi-Ka flows within each of us. When we protect ourselves, when we defend our neighbour, when we ward from harm those which cannot defend themseleves, we fight for her!

Alan Jacobi - Leader of the Vanguard Clan
I am honored to be here today.. as I am honored as the leader of the Vanguard who now safeguard Old Athen, to see the number who have showed up to remember this place. To remember this valley, and those who sacrificed much here for all of us to have our freedoms today. I have been asked why these ruins are still here.... Why we have not built on this spot...

It is out of respect.. and honor

For the lives that were lost here, and the ideas they represent. They sacrificed much.. and suffered much, so that we could stand united and free. And every time any of us walk through this valley.. we are reminded of that sacrifice. As we have choosen to take this day to honor them

Cherrelle "Xeenah" Clay - Clerical Staff of the CoT
...When we're too busy fighing among ourselves, we don't just stagnate. We lose. But when we remember why there were Clans in the first place...When we look at our strengths and focus on our common goals...We win, and we win big. We need to remember that Clans gather enough diversity to cover most sides of this multi-faced war. Whether diplomacy, politics or a more muscled approach is needed, we can find Clans to fit just that.

...Each Clan brings a unique perspective, but none of these perspective is enough on its own. In order to achieve a free Rubi-Ka, we'll need all of these different points of view. Each Clan may want a separate outcome, but it's still Clan goals. These goals can't be completely opposite to those of our founders.
Tarkhan Zora clearly declared state of war against both Clans and Neutral population. Whether we want it or not, we're at war. If we want to get something done, we're gonna need to repel division, and start talking with each other... Very soon.

That's why the Council is there.

Simon Silverstone - Leader of the Sentinel Clan

It's good to see so many loyal clanners here today. It's been quite awhile since I've been here, reminds me of the struggle that our ancestors fought. How many brave men and women died, but more importantly how many dirty Omnis died in a futile attempt to hold on to what was never theirs!

How many of you have risked your life to strike back at our oppressors? Or have you just enjoyed the fruits of the struggles of those that came before? It's sad to see how many Clanners are willing to live in relative security, not bothering to assist in the continued battles against Omni-Tek.

If you are proud of what you are, if you are proud to be a Clanner, proud for what our ancestors struggled for, then you must FIGHT! you must be ready to DIE! and you must do all that you can to destroy that evil corporation DEATH TO OMNI-TEK!!!

    For the Clans,

    Council of Truth Clerical Staff
