Council of Truth Press Release - March 9, 29483

    Money

A recent announcement on the news stated that we will require all clans that are members of the Council to get in touch with us within two months and that we will be collecting fees on a yearly basis. There was some discussion relating to the timing of these dues but nothing has been finalized as of yet. A suggestion was made that for ease of collecting that the dues should be set to one date per year instead of tracking when each clan joined and then setting up a way to remember that every year. Most clans that are a part of the Council have been there for a while with no dues collected, so it should be an issue. We are open for other suggestions on how to accomplish this, so if you want to say something, please visit the grid site.

    ICC Attack

While we would have liked to share this discussion, it crossed into the classified realm and we can't release information publicly. We did, however, lead on to a discussion of the revelations with the Dust Brigade in the outzones and Kyr'Ozch technology. There was some speculation that the dusters could have deciphered Kyr'Ozch communications. If you have any more information on the subject, please don't hesitate to contact us.

    Clan Remembrance Day

    Date: April 18th 29483
    Time: 18:00 GMT
    Place: Wartorn Valley

As we all should know, Wartorn Valley is symbolic of the Clan struggle. We agreed that it would be the best place to hold the meeting. All clanners are welcome to attend and security will be provided from the roaming vermin and wayward employee of the corporation.

Coordinates will be provided in a later release as the event draws closer.

    Next Stop: Rome

On Sunday March 7th, in retaliation for several Omni-Tek incursions on Old Athen, The Sentinels, assisted by clans loyal to the Council of Truth and others who grow tired of those incursions, invaded the city of Rome and dispatched as many OTAF Troops, Guards, Unicorns, and sub-corporate members as we could. We consider the operation a success and we owe a debt of gratitude to Commander Silverstone and the Sentinel clan.

This is a reminder that no matter what we face, some of us still remember why we are clanners. We will not watch our fellow clanmates die in the streets without retaliation.

Some employees tried to stage a counter-strike, but the operation had an effect and it was a half-hearted attempt. Those that did try were destroyed seconds after they came through the grid or whoompa system.

That's rich! For as long as there are Clan troop occupying 4 Holes you really have no right to complain that Omni-Tek force are attacking Clan cities. Are there some special engagement in this war that makes it okay Clanners to attack Omni, but not the over way round?

I don't know where you have been the last several hundred years, but there is a small...whats the word...WAR going on.

We've gone well beyond playing poor clanner. After "those responsible" did what they did for Red Freedom, we lost that card. We won't take incursions into our cities lightly though. The Sentinels, the Council, and clans that are unaffiliated joined in to show that we are not going to take that kind of action.

Really though, what are you going to bring up next? The captured pilot?

    *laughter*

    Two side notes here:

One is that I would have liked to hang an image of Crazy Ivan on my wall of inept corporate leaders, but he's already there.

Two is that I don't understand how you people find anything in Rome. I thought Tir was bad... I was wrong. Tir is like a well planned metropolis compared to the haphazard layout of buildings in Rome. I've been in Rome before, but I always had a small map or a few waypoints or something. Flying blind there is like running blindfolded in a cave.

Yet again Omni tactics for reason shine through. Milllitary target, civilian target... all the same, whats the difference? Clan repel assault-rifle-wielding, so-called 'miners' from an OT industrial complex, we'll discuss how efficient assault rifles are at extracting notum ore another day, and as retaliation or as our retaliation... afterall, who knows what happened first?

Regarding 4holes versus the assault on an inhabited, civilian, non-clan city by fully-armed murderous, blood lusting psychotic... yes psychotic and I wish to learn unicorn policy of notucain use in their ranks, because WHO THE ****manages to get a specialist suit to jump up landing on a yalm in flight and causing 11,302,096 credits of damage to my *******yalm?!

Excuse me, bit off topic there. However I see no similarities in the taking of OT property by clan then taking over of a separatist, NEUTRAL, CIVILIAN... HABITATION, with as many ties to clan as OT, by the most powerful OT military units available.

Then again maybe I should just blow up your grandmothers house because that unicorn caused 11 million credits damage to my ******** YALM!?

You know Jurik is right. We should quit attacking those poor omni personal. I mean it's not like there is a rebelion going on or anything... Oh right.

Let me put it this way. Either invading towns is a good thing or its a bad thing.

If its a good thing, then kudos to the Clans for invading 4 Holes and a little less kudos to for Omni-Tek for at least attempting to invade Athen. If it's a bad thing, then both sides should hang their heads in shame.

You can't have it both ways though.

So you're saying that we should allow Omni Armed Forces into Athen to get some retaliation for us taking 4 holes? How much retaliation do you need? Didn't that happen in like... late 81 or so?

Maybe since people still think the Dusters are a Clan organization, that you employees should get some payback for "Black October" next, hm?

So you retaliate against our armed forces by killing a few sivilians in Rome. How noble of you, but I guess thats what it means to be clan

Incorrect, but nice spin. We hit military targets, and anyone else that tried to be a hero and shot at the claners. Rome's supression gas is not that shotty.

Kotts is correct. The first one to reclaim was a male of lieutenant rank. Least I think it was male... they were not around for a long period after the first shots were fired. On another note, let me state it was the lieutenant that fired the first shot in that confrontation. Also note that clan attacking OT military and civilian volunteers is known as proper retaliation, Note in addition that attacking neutral civilian defenders as retaliation in a clan strike on Rome, would be totally in keeping with OT habits... according to tradition.

It iss not very hard to understand this action. Omni tek has declared war on us. We retaliate, we try to gain ground (as 4 holes). We want to let Omni Tek know we will not give up the fight. Omni tek coorp should be attacked in every street, every alley and shall not feel safe before they stop the hostilities against us.
So far they have not, and the war continues. The only thing that will stop the warfare is an act of peace, or a peace-treaty made between CoT and Omni Tek.
As long as this is not in place, we attack, and so does the Omni regime.
If you dont want The Sentinels to attack you in your "safe" cities, work to get a peace treaty inside your regime instead.

hey! don't blame me. Ive been trying to tell that to my superiors for god knows howlong but somehow teaparties at Lonare office intrests them more...or so it seems atleast.

    That's the ICC for you.

  17. #17
screw ICC, they let the omnies in in the first place.
some neuts feel they have a closer connection with ICC but I wonder why. If Borealis ever gets rid of the Omni presence I vote for guards a la Newland. Our own private force who doesn't let Omni take it over because of one stupid old dish.

would be nice, 'cept Boss Ross ain't in position to foot the bill for a Bori Militia this time around.

What about Tinkerbot's robots? I have faith in robotic guards.

Tucxedo your failing to realise that we were trying diplomatic methods first.
And if you think your superior's have a greater affinity with the ICC your sadly mistaken.
Yes we still want to see Omni-Tek out of Borealis, and yes we would dearly love to see a Borealis militia/guard recruited from the neutral residents of the city.
As for the robots built by Tinkerbots and Retoolkit, Omni-Tek had the majority of them destroyed. They no longer seem to be an option, which is a shame.
