It was somewhat... elaborate, but I still stand by the post.
The grind for AI armor is just one of many grinds. I and many others have found other reasonable ways of making creds (I believe faster than farming cities) to afford such armor. A drop in prices would mean a reduction in grind for creds for a good chunk of the population.
Instanced Pande is another example of where a change in mechanics is going to result for a reduction in grind. Namely Intelligent symbs, however this is looking to be offset by a new grind for the upgraded symbs.
You'd have to be living in some fantasy world to not believe that current combined will be replaced with something else and the multiple layered armor looked to be the ideal candidate. Means posting here could indicate they have something else in the pipeline though. bets are still on for multiple layered but possibly with reduced stats. Maybe all 6 bonuses but reduced to 50% on the final version?

a + (-c) = b + (+c) add +c to both sides =>
a = b + c + c simplify =>
a = b + 2c
Only way you're gonna get a = b is if c (which you defined as community appeasing) is zero.
