We need objectives for PvP to work

There is currently no ingame reason at all to PvP. Players go PvP when they are bored, but there is nothing to fight for, so there is no reason to take risks with the intentions of achieveing anything. Most of those who PvP at all are highly focused on the importance of their own PvP titles, and since the title system seems to punish death alot harder than it rewards a kill the game promotes a very chickenish approach to PvP.

There is also very little ingame reason to pvp as part of a group since the person who does the most dmg seems to be awarded the kill point.

Snarf has some interesting ideas about controll stations that will allow players to affect gas levels and maybe other stuff in a choosen zone for some time. This might be difficult to implement. But the idea is good. Anything that gives a kind of reward system for PvP would help the whole game immensly. Just putting mission entrances and special mobs in PvP areas dosnt cut it, maybe it would if there were 200000 players on the server, but the population is just too low to make any people actually play the game in a PvP area (now that the medusas are nerfed).

What would be a reasonable way to give players an incentive to actually fight for a piece of ground or a particular building, I believe this is something we need to help our worshipped Devs with figuring out. Its about time we had something more than titles to fight for...

Good news on the horizon! I hope they add some simpler stuff earlier though, like raising your flag at a bridge or team PvP titles.
