IRRK Freelance - The holiday season brings with it a large increase in consumerism, as Nanomage, Opifex, Atrox, and Solitus shopper try to find the perfect gifts for their friends and family. This year's hottest game is none other than the award-winning title "Mitaar Hero", which has been breaking sales records all over Rubi-Ka. Virtual copies of the game, which simulates playing many classic and epic Mitaar ballads, are selling briskly over the Gridstream, but the main bottleneck is getting one of the special controllers for the game. The demand for this controller, which resembles an actual Mitaar, far outstrips the supply this holiday season, and underground markets have been selling some of the original controllers for millions of credits each.
"Normally, a virtual reality game of this caliber would not have any problems with supply, as one could simply purchase a copy through the Grid," says market analyst Tony Scott. "However, in the case of 'Mitaar Hero', there is a special controller that is needed to play the game. Thus, the physical object is subject to the market rules of production."
Still, for those who wish to play the game, but cannot find an official controller, several third-party companies are starting to produce clones of these controllers offering a similar, if less authentic, experience.
