Casinos: both a money sink, fun and roleplaying!

Happens all the time on UO, but it's not officially part of the game. How it works: people put a bunch of bags on their vendors, priced at a set high price. One bag (supposedly) contains a house deed or some other treasure. Never been any legal problems with this in any country they have shards in.

How it could work here: Use the Shop of Fortune , have bags in it with random items not available through normal stores. Make mostly useless but cute ones "A reet toy" and very rarely something really spiffy like high ql team boss drops, etc. Odds greatly favor the house, but since everyone gets *something* it's not technically gambling. It's "mystery bag." No legal problems. Set the price high, maybe have different levels of machines with higher and lower prices. Price has to be set high enough so people can't just buy bags until they get what they want without spending more than its worth.

Suggested Mystery bag prizes: furniture you can't get anywhere else, new paintings, special Miiir clothes, Jobe jackets maybe, a new kind of cool-looking sunglasses with nightvision and no skill req, new monster dolls

Special Mystery Prizes: Rare armor, rare nanos, a name change certificate, a face change certificate, a body change certificate, yalm paint, etc

Another suggestion: "a casino token." in most of the bags instead of a prize. Gather 10 of those, combine them in a bag sold by the same machine, and trade it to a specific NPC for a guaranteed neat item, though nothing too valuable. Maybe a notum necklace with a certain number of concealment charges?
