Sounds very cool.
We certainly need some more social, non hunting activities. This to me sounds like a good way of doing it.
Doubt OT would be happy about casinos though, sounds like just the thing to get Athen or Tir buzzing.
My worry would be the online gambling issue (not sure about the legals here) In the end it is ingame money so there shouldn't be a prob.
But what next? Strip joints? Rock and/or Roll?

Casino's would be fun, a great social place Ect.
But they would have a higher funktion then just that.
this idea was original not ment for "socials" issues, but for the Economy, and then made to include both.
Problem with our Economy as it is:
we get alot of money for selling stuff to shop's, (I.e from thin Air)
But wery little of the money that comes out of the Shops ever go'es back. So, BIG intake of money with no outled = Monster inflation. and that is just what we have!
Casino's would be a Major outled of money from the game, and would hopefully stop the inflation, witch was the Original idea.

Reason to why ao can never contain a casino is the following:
Due to gambling laws in some states in the us, games like that will be banned, like Magic Online. It's a shame.

i Dont think there should be eny legal problems with haveing casinos (gambling) in a game...
Most laws refer to gambling with Real life money.
There is also allot of more complicated laws when it comes to gambling on the internet, since the law alpying to the website (server) is from where the server IS rather then where u are looking at it from...
Diablo has gambling... so do Diablo II, and alot of other games, maybe not as ekstensive (more like, u buy a unknown item and has a % chance of it being good), simpe forms of gambling, but gambling all the same... I doubt Blizzard would have added this if it would mean eksclution from surten arreas, and thereby Custemers...
On top of that the EULA specifikly states that We are ALL adults, so no problem there eigther...
Yes i know that some are not, but that is the parents responsebility, hence funcom could add gambling hell even porn and have no legal problems with it...
I am unsure if it would get AO a ban tag in some states/contrys tho, but i´ll try and look into it when i have the time...
