IRRK - Newland City (IRRK) - Phasefront, famous for producing the most stylish vehicles in this half of the galaxy, announced today in two parallel running unannounced press conferences - one in Newland City one at their Headquarters - that they are going to open their first shop on Rubi-Ka, at the Newland Lake to be precise.


This bold plan made the stock markets go nuts and Phasefront's shares went all over the place for the rest of the day. Traders were not able to decide if Phasefront's idea to invest money on Rubi-Ka was a wise decision or not. Mostly due to the fact that Rubi-Ka has once again been consumed by what is essentially a civil war and blockaded by the Kyr'Ozch aliens. The company's shares changed their values from 25.07 (-42.23%) to 58.5 (+34.8%) and back again, multiple times per minute. After four hours of excessive trading of Phasefront shares the course settled back down at 43.2, 0.2 credits more than before the press conference.

Mayor King congratulated Phasefront on the new shop at such an exclusive location and once again welcomed everyone to visit Newland City, be it for private or commercial endeavours. The Mayor appeared to be quite content with himself and only his repeated statement that "Everyone is safe in Newland" hinted to the rumours about recent Sentinel sightings around Newland.

With the cooperation of Phasefront, that regretful outcome may be avoided with installation of speed-limiters on their products. Thank you for your understanding. Nobody wants people whizzing here and there too fast. Public safety must come first.

While the Mayor might be quite contented with prospect of increased commerce to pass through Newland's area, what amounts to an eyesore of a proposed facility by Phasefront in what is a scenic area, is further proof that profit wins every time, and bugger the environmental consequences.

You are making much out of the fact that there is an ambassador from Omni-Tek to Newland City.

If there is a direct statement from my superiors that Newland City is out of our jurisdiction, then I will believe it, but as it is now, your above speculation does not change anything.

This does not mean we can't cooperate with people of Newland City.
