In my experience, you don't get both.
Atleast they took it down to fix the bugs instead of leaving it run buggy.
Working in both the mainstream programming field and the customer service
field; I have a lot of respect and patience when it comes to downtime or delays.
I couldn't tell you the number of times I wanted to smack a customer and
ask them wtf they were b*tching about.
Take your time, it's better to have people whine about downtime than to
whine about crappy gameplay.

the network dangly bit wasnt supposed to be dangly... we are working on a fix, but we have no fingers with wich to fix it, so we are trying to do it with our teeth and tongues. we will let you know when it is ready.
let's hope that #1 and #2 happen, as long asI have those I don't care if it takes days for the server to--wait what am I saying? all three rule bro
Hope they disconnect the network dangly thing from the network before using their teeth on it... else it could result in some "shocking" results

Everything was perfectly fine for me for at LEAST 40 mins before servers went down. No chat lag, no zoning issues etc. which makes me hope that pip is wrong about the 12hr+ estimate.

You were running network support in 1977?As someone who has spent 30 years in Application and network support (yes read that right 30 YEARS longer than a lot of you have been alive-- and yes I play this game and love it).....
I KNOW first hand just how invovled these kind of changes can be, and how you can never figure all the nuances of issues that will arrise. You guys are awsome, and I know when all the bugs are worked out - it will be well worth the wait....not all of us are whinny 'not have a clue' babies..
