Omni-Pol Arrests Members Of Nanomage Liberation Front

OTPC - At approximately 20.45 RST yesterday Omni-Pol responded to reports about several members of the wanted terrorist group Nanomage Liberation Front causing disturbance in Omni-1 Entertainment.


Omni-Pol dispatched a patrol to the location and found the wanted criminals Carly Nuser Kawarau and Major Nyadach Prabel leading Nanomage Liberation Front members. Upon the arrival and questioning from Omni-Pol they used Nanotechnology to escape the location obviously afraid of being arrested.

Only moments later Omni-Pol received new reports that Nanomage Liberation Front still where located in Omni-1 this time in Trade District. Upon arrival in Trade District both the wanted criminals where found quickly and charged for attempts of kidnapping and attempts of terrorist attacks against Omni-Tek property and employees. They both wisely surrendered to Omni-Pol when they realized there where no way to escape.

They were both lead by Omni-Pol to the grid entrance where they where escorted to a holding cell. A brief statement was later released by Omni-Pol Investigator Lex McAllister stating that both persons are being held in custody until further notice pending the decision from Omni-Reform on their rehabilitation.

Omni-Tek have by this won a victory and made an example of those that attempts to threat the corporation, hopefully also other members of Nanomage Liberation Front will consider twice before they threaten or attack Omni-Tek

Please, please, tell me they've been x-rayed and submitted to CAT, MRI and metal scans? I suggest you also dissect any clothes/accessories thicker than a centimeter, and take blood tests. And please for the love of the corporation, ensure they're not suicide clones or something.

I suggest the medical scans because it wouldn't surprise me to find they are willingly carrying diseases of some kind.

There is a long history of injustice between Omni Tek and the NLF on both sides, but I plead here that this can be a new beginning. If both parties can finally sit and really talk then I believe that a final resolution can be made without further bloodshed and conflict.

I pray that Mr. Prabel and Miss Kawarau are being treated well during their internment and are able to start paving a way towards a new relationship between Omni Tek and the Nanomage race.

Thanks for the offer, Mr. Calavera, but no thanks. I think I remember enough of my own doctor training to know that I am perfectly healthy.

The NLF has expressed interest in talking in the past, but Omni Tek won’t take the time to put down their picks and shovels to seriously confer with them. And on the other end, the NLF has to halt their hostile attacks for long enough for OT to know that they are serious about wanting to finally resolve this matter.

I think that now is the opportunity for both to finally do that. Take a hold of it while it is here.

Ah, but ya see, tha problem is dat tha NLF won't accept anything else than "okay, we'll stop mining notum right now and preferrably get outta this planet as well" as an answer. They tell it and show it in their attitudes well enuff, they repeate it, they hammer it. Kinda hard ta miss. So what are we supposed ta do? Engage in mock negotiations and give in? Pray tell, why would we be as stupid as ta do dat?

They want an answer we can't give 'em. Plain and simple. If ya can figure out what kind of negotiations could ever take place on dat basis, dat'll be interesting ta hear. Seems like everyone has conveniently wanted ta forger dat, but Omni-Mining has agreed ta talks in tha past. It just doesn't work.

She flips through her comm links as she approaches a desk for the shuttle leaving for the Orbital Station.

"Eh, Nuser got caught." she thinks to herself as she sighs audibly.
"I guess I won't be having my chance to do away with her myself." She steps past the counter preparing to enter the shuttle as she hears of Nyadach's capture.
"Hmm, such a shame he used to be such a decent man." She passes through the doors and finds her seat comfortably taking out her sword and beginning to pass the sharpening stone across its edge.

Next stop Goliath 1, Please have your security clearance cards handy as we will be coming around to check them before leaving the radio announces as she closes her eyes.

I’m surprised Ms. Markarian. I know you’re an intelligent woman and I can’t understand why you think that this horrible disagreement, which has been going on for years, could be so easily resolved by one person. It will take all parties, working together, to crush this demon of discord.

With all due respect, it is you who are putting words into mouths. I never stated that I had a perfect solution that no one happened to have thought of yet. Simply, my statement was that this could be the opportunity to finally work out that compromise that could improve life here for everyone.

That being said, yes I do have some ideas on ways of negotiating a final truce between Omni Tek and the Nanomage peoples. But no, I will not discuss them here with you for, as you said yourself during your confrontation with Mr Prabel and Ms. Kawarau before their apprehension, you “ain’t a ‘Crat” and obviously are not the person who would be heading any meetings for negotiations between the two parties. And neither would I. But I would be willing to help lend a hand if I were to be invited to do so.

*laughs* Ah, but please! Please, tell 'em dat, yes! Cause it seems dat when *I* say I ain't tha person ta contact, they still think I am. Since ya've had access ta a recording of dat conversation, ya'll also know dat I've said those very words ta Nuser after she demanded once more dat I produced Omni-Mining reports, which of course everybody knows all of our employees are walking around with at any time of tha day. Especially tha ones in charge of security-related procedures. No, really. Yer right, I concede. I wouldn't be leading any negotiations. I told 'em many times ta address tha management directly, tha ones with end decisional power. Can't see why this hit home with other people only.

And no, I dun't think one person only can solve dat, even if it's how ya chose ta interpret what I said. Clearly this shows that our corporation although not perfect dose its best to protect and serve its employees. Remeber gentelmen the most commited in this conflict will win. If we show weakness our enemies will grow. Rather we should show strength and let our enemies either fear or respect us.
