Thread: Nature Of The Beast

    Nature Of The Beast

    Silverstone, you inept coward.

Do you have any idea how much I hate my Reckless Digitzation nano? It's not safe, its not particularly clever, and it makes a COMPLETE MESS of my hair. Its useful to have though, you know, for those moments when a huge maladaptive solitus psychopath comes storming through the tower in Tir hellbent on shooting me in the back.

I will NOT be threaten, or intimidated, into silence. I've been silent for far too long.

The clans show their true nature once again, as a legacy leader conspires to murder a neutral citizen attending the Council meeting through invitation. Yes, invitation. I'll drag a definition of this out of one of my old predictive dictionary plugins, just for you Simon -

    in·vi·ta·tion (ĭn'vĭ-tā'shən) [Pronunciation Key Deleted]
    n.

    1. The act of inviting.
    2. A spoken or written approval for someone's presence or participation.
    3. An allurement, enticement, or attraction.

If there is even a shred of decency left in your sick, recessive and hostile little system of government, is it too much to ask for a moment for non-affiliated citizens to speak our minds? Or can there really be no peace, or even dialogue, with any clan?

Do you expect to be invited as a neutral to the Council of Truth session, if not as a neutral representative? Supreme Commander Silverstone did hes work, as the CoT asked.
Your visit was not announced to this council's session. You where not a representative for the neutral community, hence you where removed from the session. CoT asked the Supreme Commander to do do his work. He obviously did it so you got a bad fur day out of it. maybe you should try a better vendor for your hair makeup next time ya decide to come to CoT meetings uninvited by this council.

One council member did a regretful error, and believed you where clan, and now you blame Silverstone for doing the job he was set to? If CoT want a neutral representative to our meetings, they ask the Neutral council.

What more worries me (exception of you might think to sue your vendor for making a bad fur day to you), is that the Tir guards did not do their job and let ya in to CoT session in the first place.

Considering the number of times I've sat in that very chamber myself, wrestling with my conscience at what went on, I had every reason to believe that the invitation was genuine.

Yes, here is a textbook example of brutal and cretinous clan behaviour. Thankyou for demonstrating one of the key reasons that we need to start a dialogue, or simply quarantine your recessive memetic plague in the north.

Now, I'll repeat this just once more since you're obviously wallowing so deep in your ignorance and denial, it's making you stupid - I was invited. You can deny that however many times you like, that wont stop it being true though, will it?

I blame all of you, vicious little morons. I was attending as a guest and a neutral citizen, not a representative. You see, us neutrals aren't at the Councils beck and call. We're inclined to speak our minds as and when we choose. We aren't going to wait until the clans 'want' to hear from us, because if that were true, we both know we'd be waiting forever.

I've as much of a right to speak as any one of you nasty hostile little creatures.

No, you worry me. I didn't think a solitus could be so moronic and removed. Another fine example of thuggish behaviour and brutal posturing. Will you, as a faction, ever grow out of that? It's unnecessary.

And for the record, I can go anywhere I like. Tir is no exception, and the guards dont make the slightest bit of difference with regard to that.

I am not saying OT would have handled this any better, but you'd think a fine and escorting Anuket to border would have been sufficient. What can I say, the planet is run by barbarians on both sides of the divide. It is high time to leave behind the politicians and warlords and let the scientists run the show.

and as for the neutrals, your own foreign minister, Berael, said.. and i quote (( not exactly probably ))

Brilliant brlliant answer from Vickie of the CoT that matches the brilliance of the "fence-riding wildcard" of playboyfixer. Well if leets can walk allover Rubi - Ka then neutrals can and comes down to a simple fact we as neutal never begged for your attention or trust, we just want freedom a long forgotten quality to both great sides of the war so it is up to neutrals to claim it. Now i wonder how would the clans feel if we accidentally invited ourselves inside the CoT meetings in masses or even more if they would end up almost dead as poor Anuket did, at neutral gatherings of any sort, not so comforting is it? I think i described clans as rabid wolves in the past well situations haven't change since then, and Dabblez president of the R.U.R is it not that scientists thrive in the middle of any war making profit out of weaponry armory and utilities of war? I am so sorry Anuket for what happened to you I only wish CoT "main boss with jiggle-diggle-biggle thoughts" was Radiman and not Silverstone then clans might had a chance at true genius

If you heard our minister you were there to listen to him , freedom of the land a nice thing indeed is it not?

I dont care what you think of me. You where asked, without any act of violence to leave. You walk out of our meeting hall, but did not exit the CoT building. Commander Silverstone was asked to bring you out the door of the building, since you failed to oblige to our request.

    Dear oh dear...

A crass and naieve interpretation of Berael's words, though I can't honesty admit I'd hoped for anything more from one such as yourself. If it's necessary to walk you through this one, let me know. It truly would be a charitable act to attempt to educate you, though likely an inordinate waste of my time.

Had I ever wondered what it might be like to meet a ten year old Kotras Clay, reading your comm relay history leaves me with little doubt I'd only need to turn up on your doorstep. I do hope you'll refrain from opening your mouth in circles where adults are trying to talk in future, but then, Im an optimist. I sincerely hope Kotts doesn't take this as a personal attack, if you're reading sweetie, get in touch would you? Haven't heard from you in an age.

    Oh, and as for -

    Ms Anuket.
I dont care what you think of me. You where asked, without any act of violence to leave. You walk out of our meeting hall, but did not exit the CoT building. Commander Silverstone was asked to bring you out the door of the building, since you failed to oblige to our request.
    Simple as that.
I was not asked to leave, I left the main chamber of my own volition. You should always take a moment to consider circumstance before lying through your teeth like this, as there is a log on the CoT's own gridsite that disproves your claim -

    Xaun: Hello
    Anuket: *cough* Hi there
    Sovieta: mumbles...
    Anuket: Im here on invitation
    Pablo001: observes Anuket and greets
    Xaun: nods
    Silverstone: looks at Anuket
    Silverstone: And you are?
Xaun: Whom invited if I may inquire?
    Playboyfixer: a neutral Wink
    Anuket: glares at Silverstone
    Astera: My fault, sorry.
Astera: thought she was still clan.
    Anuket: sighs
Sovieta: still clan? can one go from a side to neutralism now??
Playboyfixer: volcatius did it more than enough
Playboyfixer: maybe she's one of that kind too
Anuket: Then I'll leave you to your buisiness. You'll have to listen to us one day though.

I left the main chamber immeadiately after that.

At this point I was still recieving comms traffic from both Taren and Xaun, and making preparation to re-enter the grid. I remained in the lobby for several minutes because of this, as there really was no reason to endanger myself further by walking out into a city that sanctions institutionalised homicide.

And yes, I entirely agree, you are simple.

A quote taken completely out of context in the most fantastic way possible. My statement above deals with participation in the fights going on in the ICC's own orbital weapons platforms, which for lack of a better term are just people killing time since they accomplish nothing tangible.

As Foreign Affairs Minister I deal with the foreign affairs of -Newland City- not the foreign affairs of all Neutrals. In this case I always 'side' with the city and the city is never on a side.

As the leader of a Mercenary organization, I take jobs from those who pay well and we know we can trust to uphold a good buisness relationship with, regardless of side, faction, or affiliation. This doesn't mean we take jobs from anybody, we certainly cannot have good buisness relations with the Dust Brigade or the Nanomage Legion.

Since you like to cut out it bits and pieces of logs, and say i lie that people in this council asked for your removal by security, we might as well add this to your cut/paste:

Icata: perhaps we should have security escort her out?

    Xaun: Already done
    Icata: ok
Silverstone: I had enough of this gutless person in my city.

Which occured after I had left the main chamber, and quite a way out of my earshot. Unless I had seen the log, I still would not know anyone had said any such thing. As I have already stated, I was leaving of my own volition. You blatantly lie right here -

I suspect Vixentrox is hinting at is the long history of friction between EO and the Clans dating back to the very start of Notum Wars.

    http://forums.anarchy-online.com/showthread.php?t=86375

This thread may not seem to make much sense in this day and age, when we assume that any Notum Tower is fair game and the perception, right or wrong, is that Neutrals lean toward Omni's side anyway. But back then, Neutral and Clan were the best of friends and there were any number of treaties and agreements between the sides. When the Notum Wars started and Neutral organisations who had taken virgin mining sites were attacked by Clan organisations, it felt to many like a betrayal.

A year later or so when Silverstone took over Tir and kicked the Neutrals out which again was another slap in the face to the Neutral community - the Neutral had done nothing to provoke the Clans up to then.

It is then that EO took an unprecedented step and spearheaded an initiative, raised 100 millions ( a huge sum at the time) and had the Newland Guards replaced with the Loren Warr's mercenaries, and in turn kicked the Clans out of Newland.

There have been futher incidents between EO and Clans, you might want to ask Dmom sometime, but I think these the key moments.

    Savoy - the historian

I'm aware of EO's history, but thankyou Savoy. I'm sure Buckar, Dmom, and the rest of the leadership will be pleased to know that our organisation's past isn't so insular in nature, that it's still known to others on the outside.

I was merely inviting Cathern to air her grievance, if she has one, rather than confine it to cryptic scribblings in the margin.

Its precisely this brand of rhetoric (though I by no means intend to single out just you Vix) that doesn't serve any other purpose but to keep us all at eachothers throats. Speak your mind. As a rule, I've found that I understand and respect your opinions in the main Cathern, even though I won't necessarily agree with them.

I find this a little odd as recently me and mine went to assist in rooting the Dust Brigade insurgents out of OA when they popped up at the grid near the Vanguard HQ. As soon as we initiated our attack on the DB members, we had Clansmen that attacked -us-. It was unfortunate that I had to turn around and blow away a fixer who just kept jabbing his gun in my back, since I didn't sign up to fight the Clans, only the DB.

Clearly this is exactly what Jandaar rants about when he describes the clanners as rabid dogs. Now 2 members of the CoT have admitted an invitation to Anuket had been extended and she had reason to be at the meeting. This leads me to think that perhaps this invitation was nothing more than a failed assasination attempt.

In the minds of Omni and CoT members alike, its as if the war started yesterday and those of us labelled "neutral" are just hanging out on the sidelines cheerleading for whomever is leading the race at the moment. In truth this war has been raging on since before my life began , and is this way for many of us.

Neutral is perhaps an archaic way of describing those of us who have merely become accustomed to the wars between OT and CoT as a way of life, for it is the only life we know. We work for ourselves as independants, not recieving official payment from either faction, yet we thrive because Rubi Ka is OUR home. We are untrustworthy? With OT and CoT and their endless plots within plots. You are the ones not to be trusted by any means other than to trust you to be OT and CoT. It seems Anuket's only error was to believe that an end can come to this war by civil means. This has not nor will it ever , I am affraid.

Revolution is coming, I say WE, the true citizens of Rubi Ka, native born are the ones who MUST be heard. The planet is ours by right of birth and the rest of you are disturbing our peace and threatening our lives! Neutral you may call me, but I am as invested in this war as much as anyone else simply because there is no escaping it.
